His time in ECW was short but sweet. Loved the matches he had with Orton at ONS 20006 and with Rob Van Dam on TV. It would've been awesome if he'd turned heel and feuded with Lashley, had he stayed with the company. Sucks that didn't happen, but I'm glad he ended up in TNA.

Weird criticism here I admit, but I think Kurt is way too humble in hindsight about his career and some of the choices he made. The situation with Angle was pretty extensively covered back in 2006 and WWE were playing hardball. They wanted to work him to death. He wanted time off and a more relaxed schedule like HBK and Taker had, and they refused.
Definitely, probably should of made alot more money from the business as well. Compared to Austin, Taker, HBK, Cena and a few others, bet he didn't though and most would argue he was the best damn wrestler to ever grace the business. How they treated him for his last hurrah and last wrestlemania was pure fucking disrespect as well. 👍
@@tmirkin I get that but look at the send off they gave him at wrestlemania, a match with Corbin - pathetic. Should of had Cena in at least a 15/20 mins match.
@@garethrevell5873we're talking 2006 when he left the WWE, for TNA not when he came back. When he came back, and the decision to retire happened, he did what one is supposed to do, and traditionally does. He put somebody over on the way out. It's called doing what's good for business, which doesn't always relate to what smarks want. Very rarely does somebody get "The Flair" treatment, but The Flairs of the business are rare and are treated as such.
Would this be before Big Show’s reign? If so, Kurt Angle would had been the first to hold the WWF, WCW & ECW Championships in a career! In another timeline perhaps...
Wwe acting classless like usual.constant politics. Instead of working with the wrestler thts hurt and giving him a lighter schedule being the best wrestler on the card they want to play hardball and lost on a great talent that could have made them millions. good on kurt for telling wwe to f off tbh
I really wish he was ECW Champion back in 2006. His run in TNA worked out really well.
YEAH ME TOO! But yh his TNA Run was Legendary!!!

DIDNT EVEN NOTICE!!! He was a beast in ECW for the short time he was there!
Thank you for everything you've done and accomplished definitely a hero and I'm so honored to have watched you every week

The WWE also said he had to "clean up". Kurt was not ready to do so. That was a big part of the situation too.

TNA was Kurt’s best years. I’m not sure WWE would have given him that same creative liberty as they were going boring PG.
facts
Angle definitely would've made a great ECW Champion
I love you, Kurt!

Kurt's favorite TNA title is my favorite design, sweet!
Class act
Big eagle and big gold were the best
would’ve brought a lot of credibility to the brand
Angle is still technically the tna champ since he stole it. 🤣
😂 He stole the TNA belt. That's amazing
Kurt would've been a great ECW world champion.
I want to hear the story of him stealing the title
He said it’s true.. but not damn true. Kind of a let down.
Is it true you were supposed to be ECW champion? OH ITS TRUE ITS DAAAAMN TRUE
Vince has to hate how Kurt pronounces dub dub E.
Kurt never wanted the jobber title

Big gold is the best but the big eagle is very close second
Why is everyone doing podcast with this Conrad dude? Like seriously, who can stand his horrendous voice and constant plugs?
