  • Is the Buddha mentioned in the Holy Quran?
    Is Al-Khadir the Buddha?
Who are the Sabians as mentioned in the Holy Quran?
Al-Khadir is a fascinating figure mentioned in Surah Kahf (Chapter 18, The Cave) from the Holy Quran. He appears in the chapter as a wise and mysterious character who imparts knowledge and wisdom to Prophet Musa (Moses) peace be upon him.
Al-Khadir's name translates to "the Green One" or "the Green Man", and it is said that he possessed great knowledge and spiritual insight.
In this talk by Dr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali, he discusses the similarities between Al-Khidr and Buddha, such as their wisdom and teachings on detachment from material possessions.
However, it is important to note that there are differences of opinion and Dr. Abdullah shares his review.
Some scholars believe that Al-Khidr was a prophet or a righteous servant of Allah (GOD) who appeared in various forms throughout history.
