Watching mr.robot again feels like watching a different show because you keep paying attention for details on dialogues after knowing the whole plot. 10/10 show
i think he genuinely wanted to share a piece of himself, that he felt she would understand. in the end he still wants to connect to the world but at the same time change it to be a better one. taking off the mask to let someone peek behind it to see for himself that he too is still human and not above it all. he did infact care about people but because of what he tried to accomplish the ends jutified his means because the means would undo the ends
Whiterose allowed herself to be seen by Dom, just a little. She was curious and wanted to know if she could push the right buttons on this fascinating FBI agent. The problem is that Dom is too skeptical. She's a woman with a strong moral compass. I don't think she would ever be at Whiterose's side. One of my favorite scenes from the show. I see myself coming back here every now and then.
One thing that came to mind while I was re-watching this scene the other day: Was this conversation the reason that Dom got away from the shooting the next day? Was it Whiterose's orders not to kill her or pure luck?

Yes ive just noticed. White rose chose the same thing as dom. Them being trans in china was probably a traumatic experience. Their power was taken away from them, and they want it back. so they went on a mission of climbing up the social lader to gain power and that quickly became addicting. So in summary they became equally disgusted by power and fascinated by it. To the point where they chose the field that fits that paradox over their loved one.

I actually installed in interval timer and put one on my phone after watching white roses fixation with time a couple of years ago. For some reason it just hit me at the right time in the right place. He referenced macbeth in this scene. Can't argue with that. Life is way to short. The older i've gotten the more sensitive i've become to using my time wisely.

It is the ONLY show I ever watched more than 2 times. It is not only the attention to detail and foreshadowing that makes it worth repeated views. Almost every scene is, beyond it's mere function of advancing the story, enjoyable in itself.

one of my favorite scenes. my theory is whiterose was trying to recruit dom here, asking about her personal life and her past. she kinda revealed herself a little bit, talking about parallel universes and living a different life. she was probably trying to gauge dom's reaction. whiterose is powerful but at the same time feels trapped in this world where she cannot be her true self (a trans woman) and has to disguise herself as a man in order to wield so much power and influence in a conservative culture SPOILERS i know whiterose was responsible for deaths of so many people but part of me wanted her machine to work which wouldn't fit the narrative and message of the show but still i wanted her to find some peace :(

She actually took away rather than added with her performance. Unless boring is what they were shooting for which may have been the case. Even her "secret" was cliche and added nothing to the story.

This show's ending was literally planned out from the very beginning, we even see bits and pieces of MAJOR events all the way back in the first and second season, I think you just might be rtarded 🥴

I find the writing for this series to be terribly forced and artificial. It’s like a bad James Bond movie with BD Wong playing Blofeld.
I can understand that, but I think that’s the point. Remember who Zhang really is. This is him putting on a show of sorts for Dom to avoid suspicion, so I think it makes sense that his dialogue would sound “Forced and artificial” because it’s just a veneer he’s projecting to avoid suspicion.

I can understand why you say that, but given how clearly uncomfortable she is having been pulled aside by the Minister of China, of all people, I think her “Cliche” lines are fitting because it shows how uncomfortable and “Fish out of water” she is, which given the larger context of the scene, I would call appropriate.
