Oh my gosh, I was babysitting and watching this video. The little girl(4yrs old) was running around behind the sofa and she caught a glimpse of the sign you were working on and she stopped and said, “oooh nice”. So I made her one for her room door. She is so happy about it. I just had to share that with you.
Honestly Katelyn, your first Christmas arrangement looks much nicer than the Kirkland version. You are so creative and talented! Thank you so much for sharing.
Katelyn, you've been missed! Glad to see you back here. Your projects are always super cute and easy to replicate. The materials you use are easy to find and always affordable. Thanks!
Katelin this centerpiece is gorgeous, I just think it looks very high quality. Love the candles. I have a roll of birch wood paper, so I will cover my candles. I think you nailed the Kirkland’s piece. You need a rotary cutter/blade to cut fabric, also a cutting mat. It will change your life. Using the fabric sure is easier than painting it. Lovely! The wreath turned out really good. Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiring us.
Nice re-creations! Love it. The way I would made the letters to pop out is use a black sharpie & outline each letter of the words Merry & Bright. You also could use a make-up sponge & black paint.
Both of your projects turned out nicely! The centerpiece is, in my opinion, better than Kirkland's over-priced decor. The Merry and Bright sign looks wonderful. Love that little wreath.
Hmm, her home color theme seems to celebrate more natural or neutral colors. Red would be too loud if she wants it to match the rest of her decor. Burgandy would be a compromise, but she's loving the wood stain.
Both projects are gorgeous! I also LOVE Kirklands. For the Merry & Bright, you could paint it a deep crimson, like the darker holly berries. The color would pop, but not be as stark as a traditional Christmas red. Just a thought.
I am loving all of your projects! I think if you used a very dark gray on the letters it would pop more, but I actually like how it looks like this. It has the same color tone as the bow and it all ties in together that way.
This is one of my favourite things to do, get inspiration from stores and then redoing them cheaper or making it my own version I love your candle holder from DT items, I made something similar recently from nature. The first DIY is definitely my favourite. Glad you painted over the blue!
The Merry and bright sign is beautiful! Try adding some small clusters of white berries or if you can find them some juniper berries. But it is stunning as is! You are a very talented crafter! Don’t doubt yourself!
Katelyn I think your first project looks even better than the one from Kirklands! Merry and Bright maybe could be stained a cherry red for a Christmas-y pop of color but still that natural finish. Love everything you make. So beautiful!
I absolutely loved both pieces!!!!!! I think painting the Merry and Bright either red and then swapping the wreath bow for a red bow or painting the words Black to pick up the black in the background would have looked nice too.
I love your Dollar Tree bucket craft the best,it's something I will be making. And also the framed wooden sign.I will do that for my dining room using a picture frame I already have. I love your sweet nature.
I think painting the Merry and Bright white would make it pop. I loved all of these! My favorite was the three candles. I might have added something in the one candle holder to make the candle look taller. The other two candles are closer to the top of the glass.
Hello Katlyn! I love them both! They turned out great! I would have painted the merry and bright black. It would be a nice contrast with the grey and white. Hoping you have a gloriously beautiful and blessed weekend!
Katelyn, there is a component you can buy for floral arranging ,oasis anchor pins ,they are green plastic anchor pins with prongs that stick into the floral foam (wet or dry) then you can apply glue dots or get the floral glue tape by the roll and affix to the bottom of your vases and the top of your frog and it anchors everything together very well ! You should be able to find these at any floral supply or craft supply store ! You can buy them wholesale from Oasis floral supply by the case ! Hope this helps in future projects
Really great job on that first project. The only thing you might add is a small focal point, something simple and consistent with the other materials. The Kirkland tub contained one ornament, a ball of wrapped twig, which I think adds to the overall effect. When the eye is drawn to a single detail, it adds motion, interest, and depth to a display.
Love the look alike crafting from higher priced stores and even online. I am usually working on a budget and cannot pay the high prices found in Hobby Lobby, Pottery Barn , Kirkland and others. Would love for you to do more of these videos!
I loved the centerpiece! For the Merry and Bright, I would have painted it with black and then do a red bow on the wreath. So pretty though even with the subtle stained look.
I like your versions Katelyn! I like both projects equally, I like how you painted them. I think the tub looked like a dark copper also. I also like your Merry & Bright as it is. You do good work! :)
They turned out just great. Well done. The tub with the candles is really a good likeliness to the one you showed us.good job. I like your picture frame one. The idea with the lighter check is lovely. Thank you for sharing.
These pieces are impressively gorgeous Katelyn, especially when you take into consideration the fact that most of the supplies came from DT. Not sure I can pick a favorite but the transformation of that blue DT tub is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have an awesome family weekend. 🤗 #kindnessmatters
I like the candle display it looked so good. I think you were right about the Birch candles. I just takes it over the top. Maybe something with a hint of gold, copper, or bronze mix in with the truffle brown just a little that it might catch the light without being shiny. I do like the look of the mod podge sign.
I love these kind of "dupe" videos (though I never get around to actually trying any of the crafts - or krafts - involved). I agree that if you wanted a pop of color on your M&B sign, red would be lovely but I like the neutral look too!
I think if you went over the edges of the Merry & Bright with a paint pen in white or even did white stitching around it would be cute! It would also give depth. Or alternatively you could use black sharpie to outline and then white paint pen to do stitching lines.
I really love that sign that you created. I think you might want to take a black paint pen and maybe edge the Merry and bright- then it would pop. Thank you for sharing!
I love these, especially the plaque. I often see things I love that I can't afford or I think are overpriced. You've given me the courage to try to duplicate them.
Hi I love your choice of colors the center piece are so cute and the merry and bright is very cute you are some smart cookie thanks for sharing God bless
I say do a light watered down red over the letters, add some red berries somewhere, maybe on the wreath just to brighten it up a bit.Very pretty DIY's, as usual! You never disappoint.
I think the Merry & Bright would look great painted a forest green, still neutral because you are not adding another color since the wreath is green but different/dark enough to pop more.
You hit the ball out of the park on the first one, Katelyn. I can’t even tell the difference on the first one at all. I agree that the Merry Christmas needs to pop off, so I might have gone with a black letters with white chalk lightly brushed over it. I love the bows at the top of the wreath but since they were light and neutral it might have been better to have them have a little pop of color (like a soft red) that you could repeat in the Merry Christmas lettering below. Overall, you should feel very good about what you created and shared with us!
Very good video. Loved the projects you chose. I'm a Kirkland shopper too. Last time I was in the there it cost me $400.00. o bought a big mirror and a pumpkin wagon, among other goodies. Had a ball!!!
Hi Katelyn, love all your projects - always great inspiration. I suggest a little dry brushing of black around the edges of the "Merry & Bright" would make it stand out more but keep with your neutral theme.
you never disappoint Katelyn! I LOVE the basket. Birch is gorgeous. For the merry and bright I would try a thin line of white around the outline to help it pop 😘
I would try a paint pen from Walmart in black or white to outline your stained words. Also, last season I tried my hand at duping the birch candles. That was fun and easy to do.
Very cute. I've painted some LED candles to look like birch. It works and if you want to you can use DT candles. I used some wax LED candles that I already had.
You did a great job on both projects. I would extend the picks more from the bucket like Kirklands did, but still great job. As for the wreath wall art, I love it! And will be making as well. Keep up the great designs on a budget.
I found a really nice matted frame on clearance at HomeSense...then bought a gift box at DollarStore and framed it...so yes...duping is great but watch out as sometimes, all that you need to buy for a diy can add up to what you would have paid for it new...but fun is in the doing as well...!
I go to stores also to get inspiration. And then go home and make it. I love the Three Candle Holder you made. But you always do good work. Thanks so much.
Your DIY looks fabulous!!! I would have painted the Merry & Bright black. I do like the wood stain color, like you, but you're right it just doesn't pop off the frame like you'd like.
Both pieces are awesome. I love the second one and think it is perfect, but if you wanted a bit more pizzazz you could paint a layer of Modge Podge over the sentiment and sprinkle on some clear or iridescent glitter. But I love it how it is.
The bucket with berries looks just as good as Kirklands.👍 It always feels good to save money and still get a high-end look.
Oh my gosh, I was babysitting and watching this video. Honestly Katelyn, your first Christmas arrangement looks much nicer than the Kirkland version. You are so creative and talented! Thank you so much for sharing.
I don't believe you make cheap looking crafts. So impressed by your crafts. Wonderful job!!!!👍🏽👍🏽
I absolutely love it! Yes it is very similar. You are very artistic.
They turned out amazing! I especially loved the candleholder . The plastic tub looked like metal!! Awesome!
They are gorgeous!!! Your right layering that bow looks so nice. Thanks for the great tip. Have you fabulous evening. 🎄❤🎄
I can't believe that you turned a blue plastic bowl into a beautiful brown bowl that looks so high end!!
Katelyn, you've been missed! Glad to see you back here. Your projects are always super cute and easy to replicate. The materials you use are easy to find and always affordable. Thanks!

Red glitter for Merry & Bright and a few spots of red berries on the wreath. Very cute, awesome job.Thank you for sharing.🙂❤
Merry and bright painted red would've looked attractive as a pop of color.
Exactly
That's what I was thinking too. .. And adding some berries to the wreath would tie it together
Totally thought red too!
I was thinking burgandy, closer to the color of nature than red.
Hmm, her home color theme seems to celebrate more natural or neutral colors. Red would be too loud if she wants it to match the rest of her decor. Burgandy would be a compromise, but she's loving the wood stain.
They look just like the Kirklands. I especially love the bucket one
Both projects are gorgeous! I also LOVE Kirklands. For the Merry & Bright, you could paint it a deep crimson, like the darker holly berries. The color would pop, but not be as stark as a traditional Christmas red. Just a thought.
Merry and bright in black would make it pop for sure. Love your recreations.
The merry & bright sign is my favorite!!!! The black and white and grey buffalo is my favorite pattern too 💕🤗
I am loving all of your projects! I think if you used a very dark gray on the letters it would pop more, but I actually like how it looks like this. It has the same color tone as the bow and it all ties in together that way.
Katelyn, TFS! Loved ur Kirkland-inspired DIYs, especially the first little tub with birch candles!💝😍
This is one of my favourite things to do, get inspiration from stores and then redoing them cheaper or making it my own version

I loved the centerpiece!

I love this video where you take us into the store to show us what you would like to make :) Love them!
Loved them both! That plastic tub looks awesome. Just like copper ❤️
I love Kirklands! Yes please keep making them. These turned out very pretty
I like your versions Katelyn! I like both projects equally, I like how you painted them. I think the tub looked like a dark copper also. I also like your Merry & Bright as it is. You do good work! :)
Aww thank you! ❤️
They turned out just great. Well done. The tub with the candles is really a good likeliness to the one you showed us.good job. I like your picture frame one. The idea with the lighter check is lovely. Thank you for sharing.
Love both projects!! I’ve actually gone to Hobby Lobby and walked around taking pictures of their decor items that I knew I could make lol!
Merry and Bright painted gold would be very nice too!
The Merry & Bright sign turned out awesome! I would not change a thing.
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

I love the candle centerpiece ~ So pretty and festive and as a firefighters wife, I love the LED candles, no worry of fire!
The high end candles really makes it pop😍
I like the candle display it looked so good. I think you were right about the Birch candles. I just takes it over the top. Maybe something with a hint of gold, copper, or bronze mix in with the truffle brown just a little that it might catch the light without being shiny. I do like the look of the mod podge sign.
Really love the 3 candle tub. It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I think that the first project looks very similar to the Kirkland’s arrangement. I love how you recreated it & all of the projects! ❤️
Maybe painting the frame white would have made the lettering pop...but it still looks beautiful..I LOVED the glass trio💖
These are both beautiful projects. Great job! Those wood look candles look really good in your project
I love the neutral look with the wood stain! Really enjoy your DIY’s!
I love them both! Great job! I would probably paint the words in red, but the brown looks good with the frame.
KUDOS to your creativity! making Dollar Tree stuff NOT look like Dollar Tree junk! tfs, Laura
My suggestion for the Merry & Bright, would be to change the color of your stain to a Forest Green. Might help make that pop you were looking for.
I think paining the Merry and bright white will make it pop a bit more. But it is so beautiful.
I love these kind of "dupe" videos (though I never get around to actually trying any of the crafts - or krafts - involved). I agree that if you wanted a pop of color on your M&B sign, red would be lovely but I like the neutral look too!
Thank you!! I know, even though I make tons of crafts, I still have a ton of things I want to do I never get around to it. 🤣
I think if you went over the edges of the Merry & Bright with a paint pen in white or even did white stitching around it would be cute! It would also give depth. Or alternatively you could use black sharpie to outline and then white paint pen to do stitching lines.
The container looks great! It is so near to Kirkland's, maybe even better!
I really like these inspired by... videos! I also like when you use higher quality items not just DT.
I loved the tub project! Your version looked identical to Kirkland's and was less than half the price! Awesome!
TFS! Great job on all of them!!! 👍👍👍👍👍✌️❤️
As a former Kirklands employee, I think your DIYs are great! Also, affordable 😃
Aww, thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
I really love that sign that you created. I think you might want to take a black paint pen and maybe edge the Merry and bright- then it would pop. Thank you for sharing!
I just love everything you do!!! They are things I would happily display in my home!!! You have a true gift for making beautiful things!!
I love these, especially the plaque. I often see things I love that I can't afford or I think are overpriced. You've given me the courage to try to duplicate them.
Love the candle holder and that you transformed it so beautifully! From cheapy plastic to gorgeous!!!!! Always so creative!!!
Aww thank you! 😍
Hi I love your choice of colors the center piece are so cute and the merry and bright is very cute you are some smart cookie thanks for sharing God bless
Love them both. Mod podge seems a lot faster then painting the buffalo check. I'm going to try that.😀
Red berries in wreath would give it some color. Both pieces are cute. Your so creative.
I want to compliment you on your paint skills. I watch a fair number of DIY videos & your painting ranks very high. 😌
Aww thank you! ❤️
wonderful projects, Your very talented. I enjoy making my own for a lot less. TFS. Hugs from North Carolina.
I say do a light watered down red over the letters, add some red berries somewhere, maybe on the wreath just to brighten it up a bit.Very pretty DIY's, as usual! You never disappoint.
I would love to see more Kirkland inspired DIY projects! You are so talented!
I think the Merry & Bright would look great painted a forest green, still neutral because you are not adding another color since the wreath is green but different/dark enough to pop more.
mammabear379, and make the “&” a different color
You hit the ball out of the park on the first one, Katelyn. I can’t even tell the difference on the first one at all. Hi Katelyn, love all your projects - always great inspiration. I suggest a little dry brushing of black around the edges of the "Merry & Bright" would make it stand out more but keep with your neutral theme.
Bucket project really nice. Can use red paint watered down to look like a stain.
These both look so Kirkland.. u did great with ur interaction..tyfs♡
Your three candle holders in a tub is beautiful. Love it
you never disappoint Katelyn! I LOVE the basket. Birch is gorgeous. For the merry and bright I would try a thin line of white around the outline to help it pop 😘
Love your projects. I like how you do your bows. Very simple and it doesn't take over the project. Tfs ❤

Always look forward to your DIYs they are always so beautiful thank you for sharing them with us ❤️
You really made ther originals pale in comparison to yours. Keep bringing us inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent

I love that you can see something and get inspired to make something so beautiful for so much less. Great pieces.
I loved the gray buffalo check sign so much! You are such a talented painter!

Oh my goodness I totally loved you candle arrangement way better! I want to do one.
Super Cute! My favorite was the container with the candles and greenery! You nailed it!❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful, I’m trying them both!!! Thank you for your amazing videos❤️
Your DIY looks fabulous!!! I would have painted the Merry & Bright black. I do like the wood stain color, like you, but you're right it just doesn't pop off the frame like you'd like.
Definitely red or black for the Merry and Bright. You do wonderful DIYs.
GREAT IDEA 👍
Love the Kirklands hack, great job! I need another centerpiece for a church table I am decorating, can hardly wait to do this!
Honestly I think the candle bucket you made looked better then the one in the store!
I love when I see expensive products on a budget my fave keep inspiring us love it
Both pieces are awesome. I love the second one and think it is perfect, but if you wanted a bit more pizzazz you could paint a layer of Modge Podge over the sentiment and sprinkle on some clear or iridescent glitter. But I love it how it is.
You did an awesome job, Katelyn! I love all your diys! I would probably make the 'Merry and Bright' a red color for a big pop of color!
