Thanks so much! Side mirror is perfectly replaced now thanks to your video. I actually didn't even need to take the whole door off, or unplug anything. I lifted the top half off but left the bottom still on and was still able to reach the 10mm bolts holding the side mirror. Also, for anyone about to do this - regarding the two push clips on the side of the door, don't push them in all the way like I did because they will fall into the door and you will have to fish them out. 🙃
For the 2014 LS... One bolt behind the door handle cover. Pull the covers away at the top right corner (if doing the driver's side). Remove the three mounting bolts. Remove the plug (just press the button, don't pry clips or anything). Pull the whole assembly out.
You don’t need to take the entire door panel off. The small plastic piece above the door panel behind the mirror can be popped out gently and the pop the door panel on the mirror side so you can get a ratchet in and pop the wiring harness, loosen the nuts, take the old mirror out and put a new one in. Just took me about 4 minutes start to finish.
So all you have to do is pop the part of the door that the mirror is behind, not the whole door panel and you can get access to everything? That would be much better than the process shown on the video. What do you use to pop the panel?
Bruuuuuh. Good video put it is muuuuuuuch easier than that to replace the mirror. All I had to do was get that socket head washer behind the handle out of there, unclip the door panel only next to the mirror to have enough space to access the mirror bolt and that’s it 🤷
