Dude, I've been playing Heat, an they changed so much for no reason.....like they "fixed" shit that wasn't broken. This one and carbon are the 2 best one, this one at number 1 on the list.
I was pretty into street racing games when this came out (I got this really cheesy low budget one too, the cutscenes in it are hilarious), and I swear I saw a "deluxe edition" or whatever that let you keep the M3, because "life begins at 170mph".
There is a black edition which this is the version I use, that's quite interesting to hear, that you could keep the M3, I'll dig around and see what I can find thank you :)

Yes it becomes BMW vs BMW , only differences is that at the first Blacklist 1 race with Razor, his BMW vynal flickers for a couple of seconds and by lore his BMW is faster as he retuned it to get to the Number 1 spot. Our BMW has around the same performance as Big Lou & Barron

by doing this hack you pretty much fuck up the entire game, I'm surprised you can even finish the race without a crash, it wasn't designed to have you finish so you would think it would crash but it's apparently really stable with the exception of the car selection screen which does crash it...now what happens when you win the car back...do you have both M3s or does it overwrite the other one
I think it helps a lot that underground, underground 2, most wanted and carbon came out right after 2fast 2furious and before Tokyo drift making it. So not only was everyone into street racing these games just made you fall in love with street racing games hence why we look back at these games with nothing but love. Need for speed quality is going down hill just like fast and furious.
I don't know about you, but I picked up both Undergrounds and Most Wanted right after Tokyo Drift so it helped me got familiar with Undergrounds' aesthetic (midnight illegal racing, drifting, etc) just because I already watched Tokyo Drift before.
They redid it, but it's literally not the same, only thing that's the same is the name 🙄🤦😒 you don't even have a blacklist to race, you dont buy the cars or car parts, you find the cars just sittin around, an some of em you have to literally pay real money for, you win races an they just give you car parts. Its kinda dumb what they did to it....hurt my feelings when i played it, got mt hopes up BIG TIME when i first heard about it.

In case anybody wants to know: the e46 GTR is the only V8 e46 ever build and BMW made just 10 pieces. A regular e46 and/or e46 M3 have R6 engines, except some low powered ones which have only 4 cylinders :)
I remember I beat him at the first race. Mysteriously the game didn't trigger the fuel pump incident so I finished the race regularly. But there was no Finished scene. Like... The photo click which shows that you've finished the game didn't come. I continued straight after crossing the finish line. Later I found whole map radar to be black and I was free roaming in the city. Later I drove back to the finish line to see Razor's Mustang waiting still at the finish line. It was strange. I had to load back up to actually trigger the original scene and end the race.
i remember, i played NFS MW on old pc with slow HDD, i had a glitch, i still raced and mia dont tell me there is something wrong with your ride, and i could still drive

In theory, it should work if you edit a ISO to remove it and burn it into a DVD and try it on real hardware. PCSX2 would most likely crash if something goes wrong. So you never know if it works or not as the real PS2 would just skip non-existant/corrupted files and keep on loading.
It should work , seeing as its only a simple removal of code where the trigger is supposed to occur , I will have to find my old ps2 out , I have a Original copy of MW on the PS2 so I may be able to try it

John Crusader Wrong! ONLY two of ten M3 GTR had a V8. The remaing ones had a 3,2 R6 like a normal E46 M3.

NFS Carbon is my favorite Need for Speed game.
