鼎泰豐represents Taiwan’s cuisine pretty well in US, despite the price! I’m glad we have at least one well branded taiwanese restaurant that I can show off to my friends!
This looks like the Arcadia location. We usually go to the South Coast (Costa Mesa) one and the they are consistently great, the food tastes the same every time. It’s actually not expensive considering their location/rent 🤷♀️
Im from Singapore. Ding tai fung here is always full. Its def nice but as expensive as in LA jus slightly cheaper maybe But compared to the taiwan version, def still tAiwan is nicer
You can't compare US prices to Taiwan prices. Also there are tons of XLB places in San Gabriel Valley, which taste equally good comparing to Din tai Feng and cheaper.
I had Din Tai Feng at Dubai before, no pork for sure. But they served dumpling with chicken and beef fried rice, moreover we can order bubble tea there which also surprised me! Of course it was delicious when missing Taiwan. : P

鼎泰豊 in tokyo is also very expensive. I've visited the main restaurant in taiwan many timese, but the presentation is more beautiful and the mortions are smaller in tokyo. also, I've always wondered why 小籠包 at 鼎泰豊 is served cold？ considerations for burns? I'd rather eat them hot if posible.
hong kong has so many other shanghainese cuisine , they are as legit and authentic as in shanghai. many shanghainese escaped to hong kong during the 1940's.

我吃過鼎泰豐臺北市SOGO復興店 ，其他分店我沒去過先不管，至少這家分店，給我的飲食感受是，比起所謂每個人口味不同的所謂的「好吃」，鼎泰豐的優勢其實更聚焦在所謂的「製餐流程、食安控管」的面向，鼎泰豐送上來的餐點的「相對」衛生安全程度，絕對有機會排上臺灣面對一般大眾客人群體的餐飲業的前十名。食客去買鼎泰豐的餐點，是去買「相對」高衛生安全程度的，不是考慮去買所謂的好吃的。他的價格就是貴在「製餐流程、食安控管」這面向的許多細節成本。
比較一般階級的餐廳，我不覺得美國的食安有比台灣好到哪裡去。反倒是高級餐廳或許有可能美國比台灣好吧，但這塊我就不是很熟。要真正比餐廳的最巨大的差異，不是在食安，而是在「服務有價」這個面向。

10多年前美國第一家鼎泰豐在Acadia 覺得很好吃，台灣的當然好吃，香港的也吃過。
前幾天才吃過Portland的鼎泰豐，除了小籠包好好吃以外，其他都還好

因爲疫情已經好久沒吃鼎泰豐了⋯⋯疫情前每週都會吃的說
在美國第一次吃鼎泰豐印象很深，除了小籠包的豬腥味有點小失望，珍珠奶茶也不夠味，但是牛肉麵和其他菜色很好吃。後來外賣必點的就是牛肉湯(麵自己煮)和台灣高麗菜，直到有一次吃過另一家台灣餐廳的牛肉麵之後，我就再也回不去了。沒比較沒傷害，鼎泰豐的牛肉麵後來幾次吃起來都覺得有種化學味。外帶真的不行，找機會再回去餐廳內用，和一般美國餐廳比起來，美國鼎泰豐不算貴。
英國的鼎泰豐很好吃

不知道美國的鼎泰豐菜單上有特別的飲料呢？
