Indeed. Though at first glance it may seem like an outlandish idea, when you think about it again it is how we often view old friends that we aren't as close to as we used to be. This is why I am always taken aback by how different my friends are from when we were in college. And it helps to remind me that though change can be sad it is a natural part of life and has its place and is valuable.

I now have two scenarios in my brain: Carlos for some reason got talking about the senses and now Cecil always refers to 7 senses because it's what Carlos said. Or Those were not the 6th and 7th senses Cecil meant.

I really liked the reveal about the emissary at the end. I'm curious about what he is an emissary of though... the Distant Prince? Could the Distant Prince be related somehow in the creation of the Blood Space War? Because apparently the Distant Prince came from deep space.
Laura Owsley The brief description we have of the Distant Prince spoke o him wearing a coat of gold, though that was in the Narrow Place where everyone was described as wearing coats.

This is probably my favorite episode so far, besides A Story About You, Review, Sandstorm, and maybe Triptych. I LOVE the new music, and Basimah is amazing. It's so great to have a lesbian Muslim character, and Ailee delivered her story perfectly. The Emissiary's voice being the flute was really creative, and this episode was just really interesting and wonderful.
Not sold on the intro but loved the modified outro, great episode too, complicated setting but amazing payoff in the story, was honestly close to crying a little.

Now THAT was a phenomenal episode. Incredible sound production, fantastic writing that had all the scifi goodness you could want: vivid imagery and dark humor, the heartbreak of space-time dilation, even thoughts about the purpose and inevitability of war. This is up there among my all-time favorite episodes. What an unexpectedly breathtaking way to start off my Christmas Eve.
This reminds me of interstellar, where time is relative and his daughter Murphy ended up saving the human race because he sent her instructions, and finally reunited with her when she is old with many grandchildren
Despite visiting Disparition's site, I didn't find any place where I could buy/download the special intro/outro music from this episode. I hope they consider posting it... especially the outro music! It's so amazing. I'm a little saddened that a lot of people are complaining about it, though D:
