i have a terrible pain both legs, achilles, and theres been just a little improvements since 2017 when it happened suddenly after a half a marathon i did, one hour after some sprints i did that morning. i thought it will become better in time but nothing happened. i think a need a schockwave therapy, many many of those.
@@drtoddsullivan I've had calcific Tendonitis for three months now, I've been on Anti-inflammatory meds and it seems to hel but the pain, swelling and inflammation/redness seems to come back ten days after stopping meds. Does CT cause ankle join pain, doctor ?
Do you know what type of shockwave it was? Was it Radial or Focused? Was the treatment followed up by laser therapy? I used Focused Shockwave and can adjust the intensity for patients to tolerate it and then we perform laser therapy to calm down the painful location.
I'm not sure what kind it was and it was not followed up by anything after. It did help but its still an issue and PRP was suggested as next step but was told that is even more painful so I have yet to try it. @@drtoddsullivan
Yes it works great for Achilles tendon problems. If it’s very inflamed I will use laser therapy to calm down the tendonitis and then shockwave therapy to help heal the tendon. If it is chronic we just use shockwave.
@@drtoddsullivan Thank you kindly for the reply. I have developed insertional Achilles from playing pickleball. I have it for more than six months and I even avoid walking now. I used to play pro soccer but never had issues. The hard court I believe caused the problem. Maybe you know better but it seems that insurance does not cover the cost so when I go to Europe I will have a few sessions there. The cost difference is huge. Thanks again.
@@drtoddsullivan Dr. Thank you sincerely for your input. I have suffered enough with this achilles injury. One quick question if you would like to offer your opinion. My orthopedic Dr prescribed a week course of oral steroids to ease the pain for an impingement shoulder issue due to lifting weights. However, I am worried that if I take the pills it will also affect (weaken) my achilles and increase the chances or rupture. I was reading that even one week of oral steroids will cause issues but not sure. Thanks in advance.

how much benefits in 3rd stage damage hip joint
Sounds great.Wish I could get it for whatever this heel bonespur near tendon thing is.
Yes it works great for heel pain.
Hello, how many times for a three motos Aquilles operated tendon?
I would start with 5 visits 1-2x per week and reevaluate the patient. Some patients that provides relief and some patients need more treatments.
can this be done daily ?
It is usually performed 1-2 times per week depending on the condition.
Does Shockwave therapy work for Calcific Tendonitis?
Yes this treatment is very effective at treating calcification tendonitis.

Does CT cause ankle join pain, doctor ?
@@chetanrs Yes CT can cause chronic pain and even tendon tears. I would highly recommend you find someone who has focused shockwave.
not done by you but it was one of the most painful treatments I have ever had- almost unbearable

1000% agree on the pain! . But along with eccentric exercises, I am optimistic for a positive response.
Sorry, three moths
I wonder if it works with insertional achilles tendonitis.? Pain in the heel mostly not mid portion.

@@osint6372 good luck with the treatment I’m sure it will help. Keep massaging and stretching the calf muscle to take stress of the Achilles tendon.

@@osint6372 one week you will probably be fine just don’t over do it. Prolong usage can weakens the tendon though.
