Thanks to Chris and Ken for sharing these two setups. I have a friend with whom I fly that could really enjoy flying with a safe mode. Doesn't have an IX radio, but has a DX9 that should still work fine. I will be sharing this with him.
One of my favorite videos this year. I’m a Spektrum radio and battery system guy but don’t like the Blade helis. No one at the dealer had experience putting the Spektrum components in the SAB. THIS PROVES it can be done. Thank you! Anything special you had to do? Or just change the ESC and receiver. Would love to see an install of how it fits in and the exact radio menu setup you have. Thanks
The 6250 can be put in any helicopter. I followed along with the Spektrum series of this FBL. I personally like the iKon/Brain better but the 6250 is nice that it can all be setup from the radio.
Just built my very 1st kit 2 months ago, it was a Raw 580 on 12s. Prior to that I have only flown Blade BNF’s. I put a FC6250, Avian 12s, Xnova, and Torq servos. It flys like a dream. I didn’t put SAFE on though. If you have ever tuned the 6250 in a Blade Heli then the setup is pretty easy.

Nice video, how did you find the attitude trims in safe mode? Out of the box mine was all over the place! What are your values for the pitch and roll on the 420 please?

I just did the basic setup, test flew and return the Helis to my buddy. Another club member who flies Spektrum fine tuned them. I’m an ikon guy.
