Hey Benoit. After looking at this tutorial again, it isn't laid out in the best manner.. But, if you did want to adapt it to replace the boxes, a good way would be to add the box properties component - this will give you centre of each box. Then with a referenced geo input you should be able to orient any incoming geometry to those points.
