I vote for the AT 4047. It's light and airy. Fits her voice pretty well. The SM7 sounds a little too gritty. Better for harder edged music. The Neumann TLM is a good second place. but it feels a little flat in comparison. And the Oktava just sounds like it's being choked. What did you end up using in the end?
I personally think that Oktava mics have some of the most beautiful and unique characteristics out there. The MK-12 here is wow but needs a slight de-ess (or a slight offset angle) to be perfect here. I have owned Mk-12s, 319, ML52... Voodoo II and ML52 are my fav ribbons hands down. But Mk-12 is a versatile and great mic for multiple applications. I think its a must have for every studio.
Found myself favoring the SM7b wearing Sennheiser HD280s but all were very comparable and usable. There was a bright/sharpness to the TLM that was obvious when you switch to the AT. Dynamically SM7b was may favorite to be mix ready
To be more comparable I think the SM7B needs to be worked a little closer. As far as the samples here I think preferred the sound of the AT 4047 best, then the MK. The Neumann is a great mic, but in this case just picked up too much breath and room air.
I felt like the SM7B was just so lack luster overall but I agree with Timothy I think what I am hearing is a dynamic mic at distance. In this case I liked the MK most but I liked some of what the 4047 did too. The scale tipper was that there is some low mid crap that I didn't like in the 4047 that wasn't there in the MK. Both were sibilant. The TLM true to it's Neuman tradition punched the mids. That is not what her voice needs here. IMO
I had trouble telling them apart. If I looked away, a mic would be switched out and I would be surprised because I didn't hear an immediately noticeable change. This is with the vocal isolated. Once you blend in the rest of the track, whatever difference there is between these mics is easily buried.
Das Tlm 103 klingt zumindest bei ihr etwas Dumpfer als das Oktava Mk 012 das etwas klarer und präsenter in den Höhen ist? Hab ich das richtig beschrieben oder voll daneben? :D ich versuche zu verstehen wie man die Klang Unterschiede bei Mikrofonen raushören kann
Sorry but I don't think this is a good comparison - you can't really compare the Neumann because she's only doing the soft half-spoken verses through that then when she sings properly in the chorus you switch to different mics.
Why do you guys never show her singing the chorus on the Neumann TLM 103? It is the only mic that she does not sing the chorus with.

I kind of agree. I had the AT4047 first. Then probably the TLM 103. The Oktava sounded a little too brittle and Shure a little to dull to my ears.

its remarkably cheap for the build quality (and sound so it seems) as well :)

+Timothy McKean thanks for your reply! We actually ended up using the MK for its more "expensive" sound but controlling the breath was quite a task.
A ribbon mic could have done better for that.

All sound very similar.
Better sound with TLM and 4047 to my opinion. Thé two others are aggressive
Octava is noticeably better! Listening in DT770 Pro
Neumann tlm 103 is smoother
oktava seems more "balanced"
Can’t stand the TLM 103 on vocals. Highly susceptible to plosives.
