A great video presentation about an interesting Padlock. Is there enough room between the housing and the battery-chamber and the housing, so you can get a plastic or paper shim in there, to reset the padlock by disconnecting the power and waiting 1 or 2 minutes?
The mechanical Master Lock 1500D Speed Dial lock is much cheaper than this one, and you won't have any problems with batteries, because there isn't any. The eDBX lock is more elegant though, and has the pass-code indicators permanently attached to the key pad face.
+MotorheadRedo Indeed I am totally with you on this! I also prefer locks that you do not need batteries for but I somehow like this one! Thanks for the comment man, Adrian
I have one, I was going to use in my cellar. Dropped it on my way down there, and now my display doesn't light up. And its locked. 😑 so I have no idea what to do, its going in the trash
Hey Henrik, I am really sorry to hear that man :( and yes it is not a "sturdy" lock and rather fragile. Maybe you can get an Anchor Las or Assa Abloy padlock instead? Best wishes, Adrian
I'm pretty sure you could open this using that method with the electromagnet. I think i saw it done by a russian kid on TH-cam, he used it to unlock intercom style doors in flats. Something, something EMP flashlight. I think.
+aserta Please keep in mind that it is only a low security lock. I never said it would be secure and also mention that in the video. I find it cool and nice to play with but I myself would never actually use it. Maybe for kids but that's about it. Best wishes, Adrian
El problema de las combinaciones, es que en un interior; por ej. lockers de escuela, gimnasios o cualquier otro lugar concurrido, es que son muy visibles a los demás.
That is a good question but honestly I have no idea... and it also depends on how often you are going to operate the padlock throughout a day. Best wishes, Adrian
+John Makanaw Hey John, you can find them on Ebay from time to time, not sure if Masterlock dropped this series or not... Hope that helps! Best wishes, Adrian
Let me get this straight,...imagine i just took a shower...so my clothes are in the locker...while taking a shower some kids show up and then take my battery. SOOOOOOOOOO that means i will be stuck naked in the locker!!!
You will be stuck naked in the locker? Huh? How the hell did you get naked into the locker from the shower??? Anyway... just do not leave the padlock and the locker open then. You can only remove the battery when the padlock is open.
Hey Jeff, yeah as I said and mentioned in the video it is nor certified and can only be used in doors + I only recommend it for low security applications. I still like the design and it is not that bad in quality. I agree with you on the stick, it also lights up in a cool colour. Thanks for the thumbs down ;)
I want one Adrian. LOL. Very Cool Lock & Very Cool Video. Keep up the great work Dude. :D N.
Thanks Nick my friend, I will try to do more videos now, promise ;)
Excellent video !
Hey Saeed, thanks man! Best wishes, Adrian
I got to admit it does look quite suave haha very tron-esque
EXACTLY! Finally someone notices :D

Good question but is there a reset button? I did not see one. The
padlock will remain locked even if the battery is empty or removed.
But than you are screwed when the battery is empty!

Is this lock safe or...Might buy one...thinking of using it in the gym only...
I would consider a different padlock maybe. These locks are not "that" secure ;)
El problema de las combinaciones, es que en un interior; por ej. lockers de escuela, gimnasios o cualquier otro lugar concurrido, es que son muy visibles a los demás.
Si! That is a problem and therefore you have to be very careful ;) Best wishes, Adrian
Let's see it work under water... Please upload a video on that procedure.
Uhm let me think about that.... Nope :P
And maybe even better ;)
Shawn R
It's for indoor use only; water would damage it.
how long does the battery last
That is a good question but honestly I have no idea... and it also depends on how often you are going to operate the padlock throughout a day. Best wishes, Adrian
A good lock for niche market..
Exactly, low security indoor use and kids have something to play with!
Where did you buy this, just wondering? I couldn't find it anywhere other than masterlock's own website
+John Makanaw Hey John, you can find them on Ebay from time to time, not sure if Masterlock dropped this series or not... Hope that helps! Best wishes, Adrian
what are the letters for?
Hey Inez, which letters?
Sandisk and masterlock should be partners
Now it is out there... They are probably going to partner up tomorrow!
I just purchase my first one
Glad you did Jesse! Best wishes, Adrian
I forgot my password how can I open it
Hey Tikii, that is a question you should ask my friend bosnianbill. He is the one that manipulates locks ;) best wishes, Adrian
Tikii& Lili
There's a master password in the instruction manual. 😊
I forgot my password on mine does anyone know how to unlock it without damaging the lock it self?
Hey Multi, please try and ask my friend bosnianbill whether he cracked it or not. I have not found a way to crack it yet. Best wishes, Adrian
Thanks
call the masterlock and see what they can do
MULTIXD
There's a master code in the booklet that came with it.

Someone tell BosnianBill that Master actually do have a lock you can really piss on to make it open.
Good idea, I will let him know right away, maybe he an experiment with that!

+Adrian Weber if you ever start using a new lock and don't want this one could i please have it
jigabyte😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well at least the USB drive is cool...the lock is more of a child's toy lol

Adrian Weber
umm I did not give you a thumbs down...but I would say the lock gets a thumbs down!
On terms of security true.
in terms of bright lights it is cool though!
Exactly
