I think you should also try making floor plan using rhino because it has much more advanced and specific commands like for cutting the door you can use bounding box that will make bonding box of your door size with you can use to trim the walls and even you can further automate your using grasshopper. For hatching and presentation purpose you can easily export that drawing to svg format which you can edit inkscape or affinity. I faced some issues exporting DWG file to work in other software. For today's scenario rhino is best because with rhino.inside technology, we can transfer our data to any software that we make in rhino/grasshopper. By the way, speckle community is also rising very rapidly.

I made dynamic blocks of door that use Wipeout to cut the wall which I later can use boundary command (seperate layer) that can make clean walls.
At 6:55, you can use refedit command if your block is not dynamic.
