- If the pallet truck drops down immediately after being lifted up, or it lifts without load but won't lift with load:
Take out the part in video above, press the handle several times to let out some oil and impurities and put back the parts in original sequence to fix the issue.
Generally cleaning the hydraulic valve as shown in video will solve problem. If not, need to replace the whole hydraulic valve assembly (not just the screw taken out in the video).
To remove the air from the hydraulic oil tank do you have to remove this screw from the video?

why are you even ipening up that side you noob. you should never have to open that side if the valve. def does not need cleaning
I have performed this fix and gotten the parts back into place, but I am unable to make a pressurizing stroke with the jack handle now. It feels like the linkage is locked up, but it occurred right after this step. Does anyone know what the problem may be? The return piston and spring are fine, and function normally in neutral. It's just the pressurizing stroke.
make sure you refill the hydraulic reservoir, expel air by holding the handle lever in "lower pallet jack" position and simultaneously pump the handle a dozen times. If it's still no good, you may need to get a new hydraulic valve (assembly D) and release valve (assembly B) and install them, make sure the little steel ball on the release valve is in its proper place of course.

hi i got a pallet truck with load or without it keeps going down. i opened the part like the video but still the same what might be the problem. I also replaced the top oil seal were the handle press were there is the spring. Does any one please knows what i need to do now.
maybe a bit late reply but your main seal is broken. youll find this after you pull the main ram cylinder out. what make of truck is it?
