    I have found that when priming markers, if you push in the nib while it is pointed up rather than down, you can usually avoid the release of a blob of paint. It releases an air block from inside the pen before turning the nib downward to slowly push the nib in that allows the paint flows.

    The esencial with the gold and silver colors catch my attention, looks really gorgeous .

    COPIC needs to fix their Sketch markers before they do anything else. There’s an issue with the chisel end cap , some aren’t tight and that end dries out eventually the entire marker dries out.

      This. I've been so frustrated with this. Five markers, all dried up from this very problem. Huge issue given how expensive these are!!

    Thanks for the review! I agree with another viewer about some of the Copic caps not tight and they dry out. I called the company to see if I could buy replacement caps, but the answer was no.

    If you need to prime paint pens do it on a glass, ceramic or plastic paint pallette with lid and use the paint on another project than there's no waste. Thanks for sharing.

    Super helpful video, I love copics and I've been getting into using markers to draw over photos I take, but I've only really been able to get such a small selection of colors that really show up... My ciao and sketch copics never failed me in regular drawings, so I'm super excited to pick these up and try them on my photos!! Thanks for testing them and showing how their colors look!

    I don't know if this review prompted me to try Copic markers or not, but it did introduce me to some of the other brands that i keep hearing good stuff about. I have Artrista and Chromatek. Watercolor brush pens and like both, I have Sharpie Creative pigment pens and am in the process of falling in love with them. I have and love Ohuhu alcohol ink pens and the Pentel glitter brush pens as well as a couple of no name brands. I also have FOMO and that other thing you mention about wanting to complete sets. I'm only mentioning pens right now because this place isn't big enough to hold all of my art and craft collection. For me the older I get the worse it gets. lol

    If you have a paint brush nearby you could spread all of the excessive paint and create a new paint project.

    Have you tried the Arrtx no shaking brush nib and several colors I got them and love them I have tried many of the Acrylic markers and so frustrating yes the flicking and waste of paint . I have not tried Karin ones ,I have some Poscas and they are ok but you have to prime them and can have big blobs come out as well. took a look and in Canada they are not avaliable out of stock .

    Great review. If you need an idea for a video, would love to see you colour something with them. Also, I’d love to know if you can colour on top of the white. Like if you trying to cover the black lines in colouring books. 🫶🇦🇺

    Another great marker review. I don't think I will purchase these because it seems like there are a lot of more affordable quality products on the market.

      Yeah Copic is kinda behind on the times, other brands (especially Ohuhu) have already gained the good graces of artists.

    Just a tip… if you’re priming a lot of paint markers like Jennifer is doing… if you have wasted product like she has, grab that paper and smoosh it onto a tag or journal or card base.
    Thanks for sharing this cool product. IMO Copic is getting their hide handed to them with so many fantastic competitors, so they needed to find a way to get their name moving again, other than through the mud. 😆

    • @RinasAMaker
      @RinasAMaker หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ That’s your opinion. There are markers of the same quality for less money, like Blick Studio. I’ve had ZERO problems out of the 13 brands I own, besides my Copic, and I’ve had them for years. Not everyone can afford Copics and it’s nice that they have options. Opening my mind to other brands has expanded my color choices and my techniques.

    • @RinasAMaker
      @RinasAMaker หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ no, I’m good over here. My mind isnt closed to a variety of products. I don’t see you jumping on Jennifer for using Blick and Ohuhu. And at this, I’m blocking you as I don’t have time or patience for closed minded people. ✌🏼

    You could compare the gold, silver, bronze, and white paint pens and gel pens? I think the pansy color could be used easily with the vivid?

    Looking at your prices, I can’t believe how cheap these pens are in America, the Copic acrylic markers are £4.50 per pen, the deco brushes are almost £10 if bought singular and posca’s are £4.00 for the M5 series individually. I was really impressed with the Sharpie acrylic markers, and the reason I bought them without hesitation was that they were £15 for a pack of 12 so a bargain for the price.

    If they are a water based paint pen--are we able to spread out the color like we do with watercolor?

    just press down, release, press down, release. like pushing a button. this way, there wont be big ink blobs coming out. that's how i activate acrylic markers of different brands. so far i dont have any ink blobs issue.

    Personally, I like tooli-art acrylic paint pens and arrtx acrylic paint markers best. They also have a huge variety of colours. Copic may be the king of alcohol markers, but these acreas seem decidedly average.

    I don't like that they are being made in China. What's wrong with copic? Be consistent and have all the products be made and designed in Japan.

    I won't be buying these, because the few Copics I do have (Ciao) were disappointing beyond belief.
