Hi Kris, I have recently brought a Jubaea Chilensis seeding. Has 2..5 healthy strap leaves. Over wintering wise, is it best to bring indoors or are they OK if kept dry in a mini poly tunnel up against a south facing house wall? (10 miles in land from the south coast) Thanks Steve
@palmlifeuk3553 ideally don't let the soil/ compost freeze through. They don't want to be fully dry either so somewhere sheltered outdoors or indoors somewhere cool.
I have started a date seed which has germinated and is about 3 inches. How quickly will this grow. Should I keep it heated in the greenhouse or cool? Thanks
It'll be pretty slow growing for the first few years. Keep it in a pot indoors over winter. Give it 3 to 5 years before it's a nice little palm producing adult leaves
Just bought the book really useful and well composed. Something to read over the winter and plan for next year. Thanks
Hi Kris, what is that nice bromeliad next to you at 7:32?
could it be Aechmea mulfordii malva?
It's a great bromeliad isn't it. Taken many days down to freezing and neglected at times. It's called Nidularium innocentii var innocentii
@@YorkshireKRIS It most definitely is: thanks!
