pullerbear vs extractigator

  • pullerbear.com One of the distinct advantages that the Pullerbear has over the Extractigator is the ground level extraction. Pullerbear needs a nub and the Extractigator needs 3 to 4" and the Pullerbear continues to bite after the pull. The Uprooter and Extractigator let go. Another advantage the Pullerbear has is that you can completely pull the roots out of the ground. The Extractigator and the Uprooter will let go after the taproot is popped and then you have to finish the pull by hand. If you want to see all of the Pullerbears you can go to our site or you can follow this link paypal.me/pullerbear/199.99usd and purchase one instantly. Shipping is included where ever you are in the United States or Canada. No other fees are charged, the price is the price - no surprises.

    Just ordered mine. Excited to take back my forest from the Buckthorn. Love that the whole family is running the business and that you’re North American produced.

    I've watched videos from these two high-end contenders and see that they both have advantages over the other. What I really want to see is a showdown: One Pullerbear rep vs. one Extractigator rep. Each brings their preferred tool and we see how quickly they can clear a 1/2 acre of land overgrown with Autumn Olive and other bushy pests. I am willing to provide the neutral ground for the test, and hot or cold beverages for all. (:-D) Let's make it happen!

      @@pullerbeartreepuller9245 Yep, sort of. We have nearly 20 acres which are getting overgrown with Autumn olive bushes, and have been trying to figure out the best puller to yank out some of the smallish ones. I've read the websites, and watched the vids, and think that at least P and E both have tools I like. I do think a head-to-head pull-out competition would be fascinating and help at least one of you to get new buyers. I figured neither maker would be interested in coming to Michigan to do it, but thought it would be worth a try.

    I love all these tools. My scout troop used these to clear scotch broom on angel island. We called it falling with style because we would fall back holding on to the pullerbear and the roots coming out would cushion our fall.

    I'm in North Carolina and I run my own native gardening and landscaping business... I battle and pull out a ton of tree of heaven, chinese glossy privet, nandina, honeysuckle, porcelin berry plus tons of other good plant volunteers that are in the wrong spot. I'm so tired of digging them out with shovels and mattocks, it is super tiring and hard on the back and wrist joints with so much constant shock. I'm super excited to buy one of these let me tell you!

      I've been using the pullerbear in chapel Hill, nc. Pulling invasive Russian Olives on a 7 acre lot. Some of these have 7-8 stalks coming off these carrot like roots. A few are too big to muster. But others are stand on the bar and get r done.

    What if your tree like plant grows in a rip rap ditch? Would pullbear be able to remove it from there too? That is basically a ditch that is "lined" with larger rocks to prevent erosion of soil from above areas.

    • @pullerbeartreepuller9245
      @pullerbeartreepuller9245  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will if you can access the stem. Because the rip rap isn't going to be level or even, you should probably add a piece plywood on both the bottom base and back foot to expand and even out the surface area. There will probably be several points of contact and the more surface area on the base the more likely a somewhat level fulcrum (similar to the function of a snowshoe). For efficiency and comfort, the Pullerbear, in a vertical position is the optimum positioning.

    seemed like an unfair test on the extractigator as the pullerbear only crushed the same section of tree that the extractigator was said to fail on and pullerbear was given a 2nd chance and deeper down on the thicker stem of the bush. where was the uprooter in the challenge ?

    • @pullerbeartreepuller9245
      @pullerbeartreepuller9245  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was able to grab the stem with the Pullerbear and lift it a couple of inches and then reset around raised stem. The only reason that stem is no longer in the ground is because of the Pullerbears' ability to grab stems at ground level. The Extractigator can not grab any stem unless it's at least 3" high.

      It's an advertisement by pullerbear, I wouldn't expect correct use of the competition's product. have you ever seen those old as seen on tv commercials where the person fumbles and bumbles in black and white until the new "miracle product" arrives and saves the day? (BTW extractigator has a video of how to use it with low cut stumps. For which is really better I would need to personally reveiw them.)

    What's the widest that jaw will open? Will it grab onto something bigger than it can pull?

    • @robertmckee8453
      @robertmckee8453 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, some tree/shrubs are much tougher than others, also depending on the soil (so the jaw opening larger prolly more for convenience of grabbing multi trunked, or something larger that is easier to pull).. Ive heard you can soak the ground with a hose, then come back the next day to pull the stubborn ones..

      Yes, they will pull bamboo. The Pullerbears are only limited by the strength of the tree you're pulling.

  • @swingtheB
    @swingtheB 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The extractigator does not not need a full 3-4 inches of stump in order to get a grip. Just false.

    • @pullerbeartreepuller9245
      @pullerbeartreepuller9245  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What is it, 2 to 3 inches? In the starting vertical position, the top row of teeth are 3 to 4" from the ground. To get any of the teeth to ground level, you have to lean the Extractigator way forward, which lifts the fulcrum off the ground. I would put our design and functionality up against the Extractigator any day of the week. We have one of theirs, do you have one of ours. Buyers' remorse is tough.

When you get your truck into gullies and up slopes and you're able to pull trees with the BG - post some videos, we'd like to see how that's done. Ummm, message mother nature, she's the one that made the weak stems. This complaint is analogous to blaming a hammer because the nail, you're striking, keeps bending. We will err on having a jaw that won't slip rather than toothless jaws that slip. That's dangerous.

      @@johnadams6105 My apologies, I thought you were implying the Pullerbear was cutting the plant off before pulling it. As far as not cutting the plants prior to pulling... most customers make the mistake of cutting their invasive trees because they are not aware that this tool exists. The characteristic that makes invasives difficult is that cutting them doesn't kill the plant, it just creates multiple sucker stumps.
