i have motorola edge 50 pro, from past couple of days im facing a software glitch where it is refusing to take the correct screen lock pin and it appears many other users also have faced similar issue and im not getting help from motorola.

I got my mom the Edge 50 neo just a few days back and she's absolutely loving it. She's coming from Samsung A73 which is a 40k phone which makes this even more special. I was also surprised by the photos this phone took, they look really good, however processing does take sometime. All in all an amazing all round phone for 20k!
I have been using edge 50 neo for a month. Everything is mostly snappy. Sometimes there is jitter in animations but its minimal. Battery life is crazy good. I get 2 and half days of battery on moderate use. Camera processing is mostly good, but I think it can be improved. Sometimes images look like AI processed heavily. And the most frustrating part of the camera is the camera shutter jitter, it just stuck for a while when capturing an image or video
I have not seen any calling issues. Its fine. No battery heating issues as well while playing games like COD at highest framerate and high graphics. It just gets warm. Android 14 was out of the box, not sure when android 15 will come. I am supposed to get 4 android updates, but its been only 1 and half month for me, so lets see for updates

Using it for past few months. Satisfied with everything except for selfie camera and updates. Selfie camera darkens your skin tones especially in low light and if you are against light. I really miss the selfie processing in my old realme phone. Regarding updates never got a single update since I bought it.
nothing phone 2a user here, apart from the camera being a bit unreliable i.e 7/10 but everything else like the software is very much optimised for android 15 and os 3.0 and while there are some jitters here and there (very minor) the overall ux is pretty nice! battery life after the updates are back to the great 6-7 sot on a medium usage day. overall, good phone to consider even today just for the software!

My wife is using edge 50 neo from past 2.5months. battery life was never a prblm for her. 5.5 to 6hrs of SOT with Instagram, TH-cam, hotstar, zee apps mainly. Note that she uses only 1 sim. So with dual sim and games, battery life may reduce. Charging from 15-90% takes roughly 25-30min

Great for long sessions and games, round shape slips in well when wearing helmets too. But it been 2 years since its launched and if has better competition. Depends on optimisation. iPhones have smaller batteries but still last more than androids having bigger batteries(comparisons are available on YT). So 4300mah isn’t an issue as far is optimisation is good.

I moved from Moto Edge 50 Pro to Nothing Phone 2a. There is a bit downgrade in cameras but overall speed UI and updates Nothing Phone 2a is best. Meanwhile Moto Edge 50 Pro getting updates for every 3 months that to security patches not fixing any bugs etc.
if next Motorola "Edge Neo" have Carbon active battery, it could increase battery capacity like 5000mh in compact light body and solve the main problem of edge 50 neo.
I have been using phone 2A since last 5 months and have to tell, I haven't used a smoother smartphone like this apart from iphone. The software experience and the updates are top notch, I got the Android 15 update on October. So for thr long run Nothing is way better.
For those considering the nothing phone 2a over this, nothing has issues with its display, - Green tint in low brightness (especially in dark mode) - Pixelated greenish UI issues when the indisplay fingerprint is enabled - HDR gets totally messed up in some greyish scenes

Good details. Skin tone and oversharpening are my 2 grouses. - Contrary to expectations, battery life is amazing. I get 2 days/7-8 hrs SoT. Charges 15-100% in ~45 mins
Watching this video on my moto edge 50 neo I bought it for 23k and used it for about 20 days. 1. It's very comfortable to use 2. Cameras are good (except that the selfies tend to get oversharpened) 3. Battery life easily lasts for 1 day with normal usage with some casual gaming. 4. Phone can be charged from 20% to 90% in about 30-35 mins. 5. Processor is good for handling day-to-day tasks with casual gaming (not good for intense gaming). It is still running on Android 14 with September security patch update

My phone's screen refresh rate is set at 120hz, if you select auto mode you can get more battery life (but in auto mode some apps like TH-cam will run at 90hz). It's battery performance is just like other 4500-5000 mAh phones in this price segment

I'm just sharing my personal experience after using for 4 months. I feel like if you have a budget of 25k, there are better phones in the market
Overall it’s fine, but the fingerprint sensor is so slow. Camera app is laggy but rest is fine. I sometimes wish I had gone for the nothing phone 2a but the size is compact-ish and easily useable in one hand.
I have phone 2a, and since they have launched gallery app, with locked folder support and circle to search, I ain't ever looking to back Moto. I do miss some feature from Moto, but I will take Nothing over Moto any day now. That's not to say Neo is a worse phone, I do agree with Bhupesh, that Neo might be a better overall option, and there is ecosystem support for Motorola phones, which I really wish comes to Nothing someday (And I can be optimistic about it)

I'm a nothing 2a user from the day it's available in India. Ask me any doubts. Desent battery, avg camera, snappy, for 20k it's a decent device. I use CMF 65W charger and it gets charged 10-100% in an hr. Any other doubts??

Edge 50 neo has all thats good, except for the software update. The update policy is bi-monthly, but that isn't true really. My dad got update for August and September patches, but thats it. Its end of December and he's yet to get a security update till now.

I moved from Moto Edge 50 Pro to Nothing Phone 2a. There is a bit downgrade in cameras but overall speed UI and updates Nothing Phone 2a is best.
Meanwhile Moto Edge 50 Pro getting updates for every 3 months that to security patches not fixing any bugs etc.

I have been using phone 2A since last 5 months and have to tell, I haven't used a smoother smartphone like this apart from iphone. The software experience and the updates are top notch, I got the Android 15 update on October. So for thr long run Nothing is way better.

For those considering the nothing phone 2a over this, nothing has issues with its display,
- Green tint in low brightness (especially in dark mode)
- Pixelated greenish UI issues when the indisplay fingerprint is enabled
- HDR gets totally messed up in some greyish scenes
Using nothing phone 2a for the last 6 months. It has been a delight. It has the best software experience and even gives premium phones a run for its money.
Nothing phone 2A using since 6 months now, just wanna say flawless, the phone smoothness is on another level never lags or jitters, app switching is smooth

I bought a CMF Phone(1) which has the same chipset for 14k and the only thing I found lacking is the camera(no uw) and the stereo speakers.

Using Moto Edge 50 Neo and here's my experience (no hindsight regrets choosing it over Nothing 2a or Iqoo Z9 pro):
- Superb design, form factor and display.
- 3x tele isn't insane, but still a sizeable upgrade wrt competition. Good details. Skin tone and oversharpening are my 2 grouses.
- Contrary to expectations, battery life is amazing. I get 2 days/7-8 hrs SoT. Charges 15-100% in ~45 mins
BTW, I bought it from Moto website and recommended it over Flipkart

I bought it for 23k and used it for about 20 days.
1. It's very comfortable to use
2. Cameras are good (except that the selfies tend to get oversharpened)
3. Battery life easily lasts for 1 day with normal usage with some casual gaming.
4. Phone can be charged from 20% to 90% in about 30-35 mins.
5. Processor is good for handling day-to-day tasks with casual gaming (not good for intense gaming).
It is still running on Android 14 with September security patch update

My phone's screen refresh rate is set at 120hz, if you select auto mode you can get more battery life (but in auto mode some apps like TH-cam will run at 90hz).

@@akshayshirodkar4601 no fault I think. The storage is UFS 2.1. Since I'm coming from a ufs 3.1 phone, it feels dams slow even in day today tasks like deleting multiple files at once. Then camera is poor. Haven't even got a security patch update after September. Battery drains fast when using navigation (compared to other phones). For video playback it's OK. I'm just sharing my personal experience after using for 4 months. I feel like if you have a budget of 25k, there are better phones in the market

Overall it’s fine, but the fingerprint sensor is so slow. Camera app is laggy but rest is fine. I sometimes wish I had gone for the nothing phone 2a but the size is compact-ish and easily useable in one hand.
Realme narzo 70turbo or poco x6 pro, which phone is good for 2025 for buying
I have phone 2a, and since they have launched gallery app, with locked folder support and circle to search, I ain't ever looking to back Moto. I do miss some feature from Moto, but I will take Nothing over Moto any day now.
That's not to say Neo is a worse phone, I do agree with Bhupesh, that Neo might be a better overall option, and there is ecosystem support for Motorola phones, which I really wish comes to Nothing someday (And I can be optimistic about it)

Neo 50 is a great device given its unbelievable list of features at that price point.Motorol has certainly been launching great devices in the 20-30K segment since the last two years.
I'm a nothing 2a user from the day it's available in India. Ask me any doubts.

Bad: Your team didn't label the selfie camera samples by phones, and clearly nothing seemed better and you praised moto (I know it's subjective but still). My brain thinks that the missing label was intentional. Moto edge 50 neo is undoubtedly the most value for money (all round package) but there are reliability issues.

And i'm satisfied with all the things it have
But sometimes it may cause some issue ,, the software experience is not much faster as i expected, and the camera lagging is too much visible from the beginning and it is so much irritating sometimes
And i am playing Call of Duty as well and in gaming i must say i don't feel any kind of lagging or frame drop or heating issue ,,, so it's a very plus point for moderate gamers like me
As a user if 3 months with this phone ,, i prefer everyone to buy this phone now , cause i hope you like it
Edge 50 neo has all thats good, except for the software update.
The update policy is bi-monthly, but that isn't true really.
My dad got update for August and September patches, but thats it. Its end of December and he's yet to get a security update till now.
