I don't see the appeal of a Hermes bag, I think they are pretty simple designed and not all that practical. Which is probably why you wear yours open to begin with. But the leather on them is beautiful and soft as butter. Don't listen to others, everyone has things that makes them happy and people who judge you for that. Online luxury sellers/shoppers in my country sell these bags (preloved) for double the price 12000€ and way more and if it’s brand new, it will be 18000€ for sure.
A Birkin is objectively not the most beautiful bag, it is more of a status symbol and people think that it's worth the splurge because it's so rare. But these are everywhere and every influencer, beauty blogger, youtuber has them.

Right! I’ve been to Paris Hermes many times and an appointment is needed. You have to request an appointment the day before on their website and you’ll be notified that night if you got an appointment.

There are similar bags to Hermès in stores and I’ve never bought one. Clearly it’s the whole illusion of “exclusivity” that’s attractive to rich people who want to show status. I could build a school in a poor country at the cost of that purse. Unless there’s beautiful design or outstanding quality, luxury brands are overrated.
