Limit? Far from it XD he's just using some basic building tech. You can do a lot more with the walls and platforms. Like wall details, stairs and roof shapes.
@@private1177 agreed! The community for this game (and the devs, who are always communicating with the players! Really cool to see) are the real heroes. I just came up with my own spin on flying buttresses based on what I've seen others do and figured it's worth showing off on TH-cam just how versatile this demo gets already!
@@private1177 Oh, man. I have been thinking that I wanted to build walls with ramparts, and reading your comment about using walls to build stairs just inspired me with how I can do that! Thanks.
You are the kind of person which these games are made for, and then these games get bettere updates because of people like you. Nice to see you again, Mister!
My problem with these types of games, Townscaper very much included, is that I feel they shouldn't be standalone games, but rather individual systems within a much more complex game. Creation for the sake of creation is fine, but upon finishing builds I often ask myself at the end "Ok, and?" I think this is why I always came back to Minecraft - whatever my friends and I built, we got to play in it later.
I wouldn't want to point it as a flaw, some people just like to create stuff for the sake of just creating it and that's it... But BRO, YES. I am so glad I am not the only one that feels like that!
One thing I hope the dev's implement is the ability to save our build, and transfer it from one theme to another. So I could take my creation from the summer theme and import it into the ruins or winter themes for example.
a second demo video!? lets go I actually love this game. I've been remaking anton piek recreations with it because its absolutely perfect to make his art come to life!
You've always been an epic builder going all the way back to the pre-release days of Planco and the early days of my own channel as well as your RCT3 content. You're always an inspiration and show just how much can be done with a little time and effort. Great video keep it up and like yourself I can't wait for the full release of this game 😎
You can still record timelapses. With holding z / x (undo/redo). But be aware if you stop inbetween and just click. It counts as a action and you might loose all your progress (done it way to often D: ) so keep undoing and redoing completely before doing anything. But timelapse will come back for the full game once Tom has finished with the rewrite of the code.
Pretty sure this game was made with Bevy, which is already free and open source. It's not like this kind of procedural building is new either, if somebody wants to use it for another type of game they totally can. There's no danger of anything being bought out.
Another awesome build! Can't wait to see to what limits you'll push the full release! btw is there a way to copy/paste elements around, for convenience?
i wonder how many cities we can save and MAINTAIN at the same time, i think people want to be able to save whatever they want, they don't want to get to the point to completely destroy one of their cities in order to continue to play it
Hey Silvarreet! Have you checked out Dystopika. Kinda similar mechanic but a completely different style. You could call it Tiny Glades Evil Twin 😂. Curious to see what you think of it.
This isn't possible for the flying buttresses, the maximum height of an arch in a wall is much lower than the example you're able to produce here, it's about 1 story tall, even when doing the weird house placement trick prior to wall placing.
@@Silvarret They mentioned it some years ago as Project "Odin" or something like that. So they have that on the drawingboard. I think it was shortly before the release of Planet Zoo. It probably takes more years to come and I also doubt that they will implement building generation. But it would be really cool to have at least a simple variant of this as a building mode.
@@YusufKayeht oh for sure, Rudi has been DM'ing me FOR YEARS with all his predictions on when and why PlanCo 2 is coming out. But I don't have the mental energy to hope for it 😂
Is it possible to build an Indian Style Temple, like Dwarkhadhish, Akshardham, Hoysaleshwara, Kailasa, Kandariya Mahadev, Jagannath, Sriranganathaswami etc using this method? 😁🤔
0:11 Hey that's me! Appreciate the shoutout
You pushed it to the limit of this game that not even fully released yet.

Thanks, but really the credit goes to the developers for not just making such a chill game but also keeping in touch well with the community!
@@Silvarret ah, there are heroes all around. I'll also give my regards to them. Hehe but in terms of experimenting, you always do great.
spending 1 hour wrecking my brain making a small castle, only to see you making a whole cathedral ! you're good man
You should see his planet coaster stuff
I can't wait to see what the community comes up with. I just like creating small alleyways and cozy stuff, but this is honestly impressive.

Same.

Eh idk I think that’s cool, it’s like doing art. Just building something for its own sake

Yeah I'd love a blueprint / asset folder where we can save grouped items
I’m strangely excited for this! I love old world gothic architecture! Cannot wait to build a town with some of my favorite buildings.

12:00 to final is like bob ross talk, amazing work my lord
This was terrific, well done and thank you!
I am SO picking this up when it lands in Sept.
This is so nice, its giving me temple of time from zelda vibes. ✨

True! And thanks for the update, good to hear that it's making a comeback :)
I just made my first build today and I am using it as my background for my monitor. Its awesome at night.
Woh 😍 It's really nice to see so many people are loving tinyworlds! ❤️
The tools this game provides us amazing, hope we see more of that in different titles. Also, the editing and the build were amazing!
I can’t wait for this game to come out
Seeing what people can make for a demo really makes you think what they can do when the full game releases
Really cool build, I love your creativity
3:10 - You sent that sheep *flying* ! 😅 [+8:25]
Can't wait for this game! 🤗
And #AgeOfMythologyRetold. 😁
Games like this are great for people like me who will never get to design or own their own home ! :)
I miss the demo so much XD it was relaxing to play
Will be soooo cool if we can export the 3d mesh and 3d print the builds for a rpg table or projects!
Wish planet coaster buildings were this easy
This game is an example of such a massive feature creep, that the feature itself becomes a game on its own.
Nice if they added stained glass for window options
Are you planning to do another series in City Skylines 2? I loved your old city skylines stuff with all the details in the mods
what an amazing game
Awesome, cheers!
Imagine doing a cathedral on a game demo
9:04 "What if we had this in [game X]"
I'm actually hoping that this engine will not be bought up by some big game company.
i don't that anyone was saying that.
I'm definitely not worried about that, just hope it inspires other developers!

Unfortunately, there's no copy/paste function as of now, but it's a point of feedback that I've seen more players have, so who knows.

This video just an excuse to say the word Buttresses a lot.... I approve!

Seems like you could use an array tool and a mirror tool

A cathedral without a cross on top, so sad.😪
Me watching this: what is a buttress
koning van tiny glade
Now this really looks like it could be in Planet Coaster 2.
Common Frontier, give us something like this
IF Planet Coaster 2 ever happens (I have no idea, I mean it), I doubt the engine would handle this level of procedural generation. But who knows!
