Begin The Beguine (Piano Cover)

"Begin the Beguine" was recorded in 1938 in New York. Cole Porter composed the song between Kalabahi and Fiji during a 1935 Pacific cruise. In October 1935, it was introduced by June Knight in the Broadway musical "Jubilee". Musicologist and composer Alec Wilder described it as an unprecedented experiment and one which, to this day, after hearing it hundreds of times, he cannot sing or whistle or play from start to finish without the printed music.
Notable versions are recorded by Artie Shaw, Harry James, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.
