      Agree, though I think any form of magnesium could help for sleep

    I improved my sleep by stopping drinking. Stopped taking Magnesium - works for me.. over complicating too many steps to try and sleep. Try no alcohol. Stress is a major factor too…

    I had sleep issues for many, many years. Now what gets me to sleep is a 20 minute Dr Joe Dispenza meditation. The last few months I've been waking up at 4am (perimenopausal) and not been able to get back to sleep - unless I do another Dr Joe meditation. It happens that 4am is a great time to meditate, so I'll do an hour. My heart rate drops dramatically as does my core body temperature (I need a blanket when I'm done), my brain is in a very zen state and when I'm finished I'll fall back asleep for another 3 hours. It's the one thing that works for me, I'm in a completely different realm enjoying the trip and I'm not stressing about not sleeping.

    Lots of interesting information. I learned the 4-7-8 breathing technique (or something very close) at a de-escalation workshop but never knew the source of it. Thanks for the reference to Dr. Weil!

    You lost me when he said ‘high fat high caloric food’…
    High fat food does NOT make us fat.
    And calories are NOT a food.
    What will make us fat is carbs/sugar

    • @WaddupBoi
      @WaddupBoi หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      well cells produce energy either through lipolysis (using fat) or glycolysis (using sugar/carbs), if both systems run fine then you won't get fat with either, unless there are impediments to these systems or an abundance of fuel greater than what your metabolic rate can handle.
      to say carbs/sugars makes us fat is flat out wrong. i assume you're just sharing talking points you've heard. i recommend you look into both lipolysis and glycolysis and understand the mechanisms behind the 2 systems

      @@WaddupBoi It is very hard to put on weight eating a high fat diet because you become satiated much more quickly on fats. Carbs can and often does lead to sugar spikes followed by crashing, leading to sugar cravings and snacking, which often leads to weight gain. Having a 'balanced' mixture of carbs and fats can be even worse as the Randle effect comes into play.
