I'll be honest, hearing Moonkitti's voice as Rainstar was a jumpscare
I was so shocked despite knowing I burst out laughing enough to startle my family.

I think it was because Sunfire may have been her son. Dawnfrost wanted to give Hawkstar her condolences for Sunfire’s death. But we know one other cat died. This may imply that Sunfire was more to her than just another warrior.

I have a throey that Spotty is only attreacted to cats with a lot of floof to make-up for her own lack of floof. Wildfur, Dawnfrost, Peachpaw, Mistysnow. All those are cats with a lot of floof. The reason why she doesn't like Goldenpelt is because he lacks floof.

I know most of the comments will be about the gathering and everything but I want to point out the animation in the credits.
Goldenpelt is following Spottedshadow from a distance, enough so she can’t see or hear him behind her. He looks proud and determined, even if you can’t see his face.
Spottedshadow looks almost defeated, tired and sad. She seems to be pondering about something, oblivious to anything Goldenpelt is doing. She doesn’t notice him closing in on her.
We already know he is manipulating Spottedshadow, but this animation really shows it in a way that most people would overlook. Like it’s from Spottedshadow’s POV.
Pretty sure they used those animations from Tennele’s “Soldier Poet King” animation meme. He said that he animated Goldenpelt to look confident as he strode through his territory, while Spotty was looking downward, thoughtful, tired, and slightly melancholy as she strides through the moorlands at night. If you haven’t checked out Tennele’s “Soldier Poet King”, I’d highly recommend!

I have watched the Poet soldier king meme and the drawing a Blanca episodes they made for the animation. He discribed both Spottedshadow and Goldenpelt’s walk, but the animation in the end doesn’t look the same to me, even If they are why put Goldenpelt behind Spotty from a distance?
The chemistry between Hawkstar and Elmstar is so cute. The fact that he is pained to see her so so distraught, and that although she rejects his sympathy, it's hard for her to push him away at the same time. This may be a stretch, but...is Elmstar the secret father of Sunfire?? Is his pained look more than just sympathy, but also heartbreak?? Just speculating. If their relationship is purely platonic, that is perfect too :)

The ending credits of the silhouettes of Spottedshadow walking tiredly and Goldenpelt walking behind her gives me chills. And I love all the foreshadowing and set up. Like how eager Rainstar is to dismiss the deaths of two ShadowClan warriors as from a badger, how Dawnfrost and Wolfthorn look at eachother when they first see eachother at the gathering, with Wolfthorn watching Dawnfrost intently and Dawnfrost trying to ignore Wolfthorn. But after a few minutes, they look at eachother fondly. The fireflies casting the gathering in an orange light is just how I imagine gatherings to look light. "Beauty before age" Rainstar savage. Also all the leaders have visible scars except for Rainstar. Hazelstar and Elmstar have torn ears, and Hawkstar's scar is a bit obvious. But Rainstar is also scarred, it's just a little less visible especially to people who don't know about how Frozenpool treated her and Iceclaw(that's his name, right?)
I really think that it looked very interesting and very fascinating to see that

Can we just take a moment to appreciate all the attention to detail with the characters? All the cats react to everything being said, even if it’s not directed at them, and you can easily tell how they feel about it. I learned so much about the characters just by seeing how they respond to things. Some of them are so subtle, like a sideways glance or a raised eyebrow but it just adds so much.

I love how when Redleaf is announced, Wolfthorn is looking at Dawnfrost with pity and sadness. Not anger, or hope. He feels awful she didn’t achieve her dream, not hopeful she will leave with him or angry it came out for nothing. I love Wolfthorn already.
I think it was more that Brackenfoot died. Brackenfoot was Dawnfrost's father.

This is really well put together, the characters are all very expressive, and in twelve minutes it does a really great job introducing most of the main cast, hinting at their relationships with one another (such as the obvious strain between Wolfthorn and Dawnfrost, and the easy closeness between Spottedshadow and Peachpaw), and introducing conflict with Hawkstar's dire warning... and the reactions from the other leaders give us a pretty good glimpse of their personalities. (I like that Hazelstar is polite enough to acknowledge Hawkstar's warning, but can't quite resist throwing out a cocky dismissive comment of his own, whether from legitimate lack of concern or to make WindClan seem stronger. And Elmstar clearly wants to say something to comfort Hawkstar, but when she flinches away he respects her desire to be alone with her grief... and you can see a momentary flash of guilt from her at taking out her grief over her loss and anger at Rainstar and Hazelstar on him.)
Kudos also goes to the voice actors, they all did really well. It's interesting to hear some of these familiar voices in such a different context, like Tom who is usually pretty boisterous playing someone so subdued and serious as Hazelstar. Moonkitti is absolutely devouring the scenery as Rainstar, and it fits the character spot on. I also really love the voices for Peachpaw and Forestleaf in particular. Peachpaw sounds young and sweet, and Forestleaf has the perfect mix of a beautiful and threatening.
Can't wait to see what the future holds for this project! Sorry Working Partners is forcing you guys to have to retool it to avoid DMCA nonsense, but there is clearly a lot of pride and passion going into this, and I know you'll continue to make a fantastic product.

Theory: In the trailer, the shadow of a beast looms over the characters. This is likely the same beast as the one Hawstar mentions and the one in the theme song. This shadow is also seen on the original cover of Moonrise, where, if you don't remember, a mountain lion is the main villain. What if the beast that killed Sunfire and Breezeheart is a mountain lion...
Edit: It's bear, or at least it was in the original script.
If you look in the trailer, it seems the cat stalking Sun and Breeze is Rainstar, based on the shape of the silhouette. Might be wrong, but I’m just guessing based on the trailer.

(Possible Spoilers? I’m not sure how many people have watched Tennelles video pages on the characters, so if you haven’t go do that before reading)
For me personally I don’t think it’s either a mountain lion or a bear, like many people are guessing (well sorta, I’ll get back to this). I think it’s a certain character that you will probably only know about is you watch Tennelle’s Wolfthorn video. In the video Tennelle talks about a character named Brother (or Brother of a Starless night) and he spends some time with Wolfthorn while he was away from the clans. Wolfthorn when going back to the clans feels like Brother never left, even though they had taken different paths. And when looking at the shadow in the trailer that followed the patrol bois, it looked extremely similar to the shadow of Brother shown in Tennelles video! So, it seems like Wolfthorn wasn’t wrong about him feeling followed. Though the shadow shown in the into didn’t look that much like Brother, which means either two things to me.
One: The shadow was purposely drawn like a different animal to throw people off. Or...
Two: Brother has the ability of controlling over animals and maybe even cats, and is using that power to get some beast to kill the clan cats.
Though there is that third option, which is “its not Brother” which I definitely don’t think is true. There’s just too many hints that’s it’s him, or he’s involved in it somehow.

Hazelstar lost his daughter, remember? Whitebelly was killed by a fox. Hazelstar would never shame a grieving parent for an outburst, in fact he probably thought of Whitebelly when Hawkstar mentioned Sunfire.

I got such a surprise when I heard Rainstars voice. I thought her voice would've been deep and husky but honestly her cannon voice is way better. The animation is absolutely gorgeous, the voice acting and designs.

I feel like a lot of other voice acting things just don’t completely click right. But the voice acting in this is STUNNING!
It isn’t awkward in the least bit and sounds really nice and natural!
I think some of the audio quality could be improved, but other then that I think it works well

10:30 Love the subtle differences in Spotted and Peach’s walk cycles. Peach’s is more bouncy and excited while Spotted’s is more grounded and flat. Really reflects on who they are as characters :)

I was watching this and I was like oh my goodness rainstar sounds so, hilarious for her character and then I realized it was moonkitti and now she just sounds like every sassy “I spoil” character and I can’t take rainstar seriously. On a different note, this was really well animated and I can’t wait to see more!
