This year's tournament featured teams from Delaware D3 (Lower Sussex Little League), East Region - New Jersey (Pennsville Little League), Southeast Region - Georgia (Vine-Ingle Little League), Southwest Region - Texas (Texas District 9 Little League), West Region - Hawaii (Honolulu Little League), Asia-Pacific Region - Philippines (Negros Occidental Little League), Europe-Africa Region - Czech Republic (Czech Republic District 1 Little League), Canada (YYC Softball Little League), Latin America Region - Puerto Rico (Yankees Family Group Little League). The all-stars from Illinois District 17 Little League in the Central Region took home the banner.
The Senior League Softball Division is for girls 13-16 years old, using a 60-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 43 feet. The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or “All Stars”) of 13-16-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Junior League Softball divisions), and the team may enter the International Tournament. The culmination of the International Tournament is the Senior League Softball World Series, featuring teams from around the world.
