This flick is off the wall. He sems to be a nughty Fonz then he becomes a villain ! . No ads. halleluia . Good 50s Rockand Roll . Jolly good what . Thanks. Dave
Very good B movie classic production! Teen angst at its best.. I dug the groovy direction and character acting :) Good print and sound so that I was able to enjoy it for the first time. The other prints I've tried to view on YT have lacked in quality. I appreciate the post plus I truly like this channel!
@@TONEBHURT So.... I checked it out, and the '50s had cool cars, beatniks, jazz, jive, and hepcats.... but were definitely not groovy. The '60s had the british mods, california hippies, psychedelic music and mind altering drugs, afro hairdos and thriftstore clothes, and they were all feelin' groovy... in fact, everything was groovy man! Born in '54.
The star was a featured player in the Frankie Avalon and Anette Funicello Beach films,a Beverly Hillbillies episode and a cameo as a rockabilly singer in horror movie I saw on Svenghoulie. Eventually he was the voice in the opening of The A team. Really the titled star.
Jeez. In the 90's when my rockabilly band hit we were flown to England to play the Hemsbey weekender. As yanks we were supposed to know all about all of these bad "teenage" movies. Infact they were streamed constantly through all the chalets in the holiday camp. I found it depressing.
The blond actress playing Wanda, Judy Nugent, had a small but memorable role as the smart aleck neighbor girl to Jane Wyman in "Magnificent Obsession" 1954. Judy got to act in color... with co-star Rock Hudson, in the film that made him a star.

Oh yes that IS the guy from McHale NAVY. Also other episodes of many 60s TV shows. He became much better as an actor later. He got a lead in a western comedy series. One season I think. Sadly he committed suicide later in life. Look it up!
"Portland, that's a nice town" That really dates this movie :-)
Last scene, night...you can hear crickets in the background.
Nice symbolic touch.

Better than I expected. What do you give a rich punk that has everything? Nothing.
Thanks for sharing.
Maynard G. Krebs is hip to the bongos & approves.
_Work!_
Love seeing the cars close and the surroundings.
Great upload! I had this one on VHS back in the 90s.

I can dig this Daddy O, Groovy, far out!!!
It's hip, man.
No one said "groovy" in 1960.
@@mexicounexplained never said they did. I made the comment groovy in November of 2024.🫤
@@anthonykitchens694Very bad attempt at a save. You were trying to say something in the slang appropriate to the time, but blew it with “groovy.” lol.

When Matt needed Cricket the most, all he heard was crickets.
Gary Vinson the blonde actor in the film was one of the sailors under Quinton McHale in the classic comedy show McHale's Navy
41.10 back then as now no car complete without fluffy 🎲🎲
Dig it! Something weird daddy’o!
Definitely a film for student actors, before the are ready for an audience !
I ❤ your synopsis!
They gotta wear those leather coats, even on a sunny day. Leading to the garage band, Punk Funk. 🥴

1.09.54......" not you too Cricket! ".....nice literal echo that of that famous Shakespearean line......
Nice to see Democracy at work. School elections show the process so clearly.
