It was a blast making this while listening to Diluc playlist, looking back at my other styles this one was the most fun to replicate hahahaha.
They just don't get him, that's all. All they see is that surface part, that he's distant, a bit grouchy, and I've found that the vast majority haven't bothered to read on the backstory. Critical thinking skills are not in existence among the haters. I find Diluc's backstory explains why he pulled back as much as he did. It's a self-defensive shell. He's still fundamentally, a warm, dare I say sensitive soul, who got punted around by circumstances, and he's acutely aware of expectations laid on him, so he developed a steel shell meant to protect and conceal the sides of him that he thinks aren't helpful to him. There's psychology involved. Let's leave it at that, before my reply gets too long.

If you read the mail message that we got for Kaeya's B-Day, it lists him wandering... and ending up in the vicinity of the Dawn Winery in his melancholic wanderings. He plays it off, but that's just the illusion he puts it. I think that Kaeya still wishes they could be brothers again, but he's got trust issues. Opening up and admitting it? Not easy. Those knuckle-heads (and I say that lovingly toward both) don't communicate. That's got the makings of a tragedy.

I think people tend to forget that Diluc is very kind at heart just like Jean is. He just coped with what happened to him differently than others. I doubt anyone would remain completely the same after what happened to him.

I can explain Diluc in one word Taurus His birthday is one day before mine and I complitely understand his thoughts and feelings (still I want to punch him in the face, but let's not talk about that). I understand how would he feel if someone praised him. It would be so hard to take, it would be embarassing that's why he'd rather say that someone's words are weird. I understand that he does kind things just because his heart telling him to, not to look kind or cool. And gosh... It was so relatable when I talked to him in my teapot and he was like "Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings!" and "I need some time to get used to this place..." I juat wanted to put my hand on his shoulder and say "I feel you, mate..." Also this guy helps me so much, even though I'm a Kaeya mainer (And also he saved me from pulling Tartaglia once and got me 100% chance at the same time
