Really enjoy this video. I picked this up at Walmart myself. I wonder if hasbro will come out with the dragonzord/tigerzord coins and ninjette coins? I never picked up the legacy line stuff. I think buying toys for my son was a priority over the years rather than getting it for myself. Luckily I decided to cosplay as wwe wrestler the fiend bray Wyatt. So the legacy line toy money went to that lol. The base is really nice especially so you can display it with the coins around it. The gold coins remind me of the OG morpher from the 90s (son has that one).
I have both morphers. The hasbro version is worth purchasing especially if you want to cosplay. The legacy version was an issue with cosplayers because of how heavy it was. Also, it's a nice product to display and it's more show accurate.

The sound timing for Lightning is kinda accurate; if you watch the show, you'll get how they implemented it. They're the wrong shape and too wide; the original holster for the original 1992 Dynobuckler is narrower. Also, for both, one side sits flush, the other doesn't. You pointed it out, too - Lightning sits flush with the coin side out (which is accurate to the very first episode of MMPR when Zordon first gave them their Morphers...something that's even seen in the season 1 opening), whereas Legacy sits flush with the back out (which is accurate to Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuuranger...especially since Bandai Japan retooled Legacy into their Super Sentai Artisan Dynobuckler). 5. While I already have the Green Ranger/White Ranger version of the Legacy one, I may be tempted to bite on the Lightning one if they do a box set containing the Dragon, Tiger, AND Falcon Power Coins...representations for all three seasons in the box!! Side Note: I didn't get the original Legacy with the main five coins, though I did find one at GameStop for my wife, who's a huge Pink Ranger fan.

For my opinion: While the Lightning Collection does make up a bit of the coin issues and the slight color improvements than the Legacy, the sound it plays is...not as great as I would expect, as you said. I would expect it to have two sound modes: a Morph Mode, which only plays the morphing with/without the theme song like the Legacy version, and a Voice Act mode that has the voice actors saying, "It's Morphing Time! (Dino Power Name)" and then plays the morphed sound. That's what I would expect at best. Another area for improvement is how thick and bulky it looks compared to the Legacy version. It would feel slightly heavy and does not look great when it is bulky. Lightning Collection is excellent overall, but Legacy is still my favorite cause; like you, I would rather say the morphing phrase and have the Morpher play the morphing sound rather than have the voice actors say it.

After years of wanting a Power Morpher (I had the original toy in the 90s but its long gone) I was finally able to get a Lightning Collection Morpher for face value on Amazon and it arrived yesterday. I'm very pleased with that. Now to find someone that makes die cast weathered Power Coins to replace the shiny ones. I think with the weathered coins you see so much more detail. But I do plan to replace the plates and background lense on mine and turn it into a Green Ranger Morpher....maybe the Master Morpher. Haven't decided yet. Enjoyed the video man.

Honestly Hare’s what I think The Legacy Version is perfect for Display, but however The Lightning Collection Version is Good for one or both things a Prop for Either and or Your Power Rangers Cosplay and or your Fan Made Films, or just simply for missing with once in a while, and I kind of understand why they couldn’t I think but, it would’ve been Nice if they could some how Fit the Second MMPR Team in to this Morpher some how it would’ve been nice to somehow been able to Access the Voice Clips for Adam, Rocky, Aisha, and even Kat, but with their Ninjiti Powers instead of Dino Powers. If I were you about this more for I have I have this the reason why it doesn’t register correctly all the pens on the side wise of the 2.2 things you see one big one that goes in a bigger one smaller one goes in the other slot there are
@MidnightSpider-Man 37 I eventually got it out but I had to use a flat head screwdriver and wedge it into the side of the clip. It took a while but I got it out with minimal damage to the plastic! Terrible product IMO.

I think instead of the voice clips of the rangers maybe they could've used the animal sounds instead. So you can say the animal name with the time lag and then the animal sound come in

Honestly Hare’s what I think The Legacy Version is perfect for Display, but however The Lightning Collection Version is Good for one or both things a Prop for Either and or Your Power Rangers Cosplay and or your Fan Made Films, or just simply for missing with once in a while, and I kind of understand why they couldn’t I think but, it would’ve been Nice if they could some how Fit the Second MMPR Team in to this Morpher some how it would’ve been nice to somehow been able to Access the Voice Clips for Adam, Rocky, Aisha, and even Kat, but with their Ninjiti Powers instead of Dino Powers. But either than that I think this Morpher is good as is.

If you already have a Legacy morpher or 1993 morpher, just stick with it. This morpher has many screen inaccuracies with this compared to Bandai’s morphers:
* The Lightning collection morpher is too bulky compared to the 1993 morpher and Legacy Morpher which were both used on screen in MMPR and Jason using the Legacy Morpher in Power Rangers Beast Morphers.
* There are big gaps between the coin and morpher which wasn’t in the MMPR series’ morpher.
* The inside of the morpher is clear plastic as it was red in the TV show and Bandai’s morphers despite the ranger’s colors.
* The power ranger logo around the morpher is too thin compared to Bandai’s 1993 and Legacy versions.
The only inaccuracy with Bandai’s morpher release in 1993, was that the logo said “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” upside down but it was fixable as I and many others bought screen accurate logo stickers that said “Power Rangers” to replace it with in the right direction making it completely screen accurate. Hasbro’s inaccuracies are permanent.
The Lightning version is basically a kid’s toy, definitely not an 18+ collectible. Hasbro seems to focus more on the electronic features that many purchasers have had problems with rather than the prop’s screen accuracy and quality material.

GameStop, Amazon… the usual places. It’s just that these videos are a bit old and so they’re sold out from these places.

Hey man, quick question: were you able to remove the black clip piece from the stand, or is stuck in there permanently?
@MidnightSpider-Man 37 I eventually got it out but I had to use a flat head screwdriver and wedge it into the side of the clip. It took a while but I got it out with minimal damage to the plastic! Terrible product IMO.
Hasbro go back to the original version and upgrade it whipe bandai re imagine it
