I was having difficulties in my coding assignment that was given to me😌 I haven't even done 4minutes of this video, and I figured out where my error was coming from. Obviously , there was no way I would have understood this topic better, I'have searched other videos, but no avail, then I stumbled on this your channel, permit me to say, I'have watched your Python course full video, but I couldn't really get to see your channel, so I forgot about it. Not until now I just saw your channel again, "Giraffe Academy". Thank you so much, your teaching is superb👍👍😌
Bro I just discovered your channel and today I was able to solve all my questions with your videos, you're such a smart teacher, I appreciate how much time you spent to make this content for free.
This helped me understand my assignment in 11 minutes after i had been staring at a PowerPoint all afternoon not understanding a single thing. You rock dude!!
You are better than my lecturer at Uni. His name is Mike too. But I wouldn’t pay him $5 for his teaching. Thank you for clear explanation and much appreciated!
Here's my constructive criticism: A method should do *exactly* what it's name suggests. And nothing more, if possible. A 'sayHi' method which actually says 'Hello' may seem fine in this tiny program. You can keep in your mind what the method actually does. And you come to no surprise when you see 'Hello' on the console. However, for a real program, it's impossible to remember all the tiny inaccuracies that your method names contain. So you may spend quite a few minutes investigating why your program says 'Hello' instead of 'Hi'. Apply this few-minutes delay for every method that your program uses, and you end up loosing many working hours in this kind of nuances.
We only have one class here. So, properly speaking, all the print-lines are inside the main *class* . However, we have a main *method* and sayHi method. This program is a mere example with no particular purpose, beyond showing how methods work. So it's hard to answer *why* it does what it does. But, in a real program, with hundreds or thousands of print-lines, it comes very handy to organize them in different methods. Please feel free to ask me further if you still have doubts.
I can't get it. How come we did not declare a variable "name" and assigned a value ("Phyllis") to it? So methods can do it themselves "behind the curtains"????
Ok the first video you used names from the office I thought it was a coincidence but you did it again... so tell me are you watching the office before every video? Haha thanks for the videos though they're very helpful!

Hello mike,
Just wonder. Why some instructors use println(...) inside Main class but some prefer to use outside Main class?
We only have one class here. So, properly speaking, all the print-lines are inside the main *class* . However, we have a main *method* and sayHi method.

Do we have functions in Java, or is it just Methods? To me Methods kinda look like Functions!
OK I got it!
@@noone-gr4is i think the same, arent they ?
@@pranav288 lol yea they are the same
The Office reference 😂
