    He was a good player that had a good career with lot of highlights of him dunking and do all types of moves to players in the league. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.

    I think he was very underappreciated mostly because he was in small market teams that were bad back then.

    Was one of my favorites growing up. Sucks that they couldnt put a solid team together in vancouver, i remember they were finally starting to look decent the year before they went to memphis with reef, bibby, and dickerson leading the way

      So true..as a Memphian, i watched and kept up with the whole relocation process from Vancouver to Memphis. I was looking forward to seeing Reef play in Memphis but the Grizzlies were trying to move on from Vancouver period! Including players. Memphis traded for Pau Gasol(who was drafted by ATL)and the Hawks got Shareef. Mike Bibby went to the Kings for Jason Williams(I HATED THAT TRADE). The Grizzlies traded a fundamental, cerebral point guard for flashy "white chocolate" highlight reel guard. Mike Dickerson was simply bad luck. I saw him during the 1st preseason they were in Memphis and he was good but early in the regular season he got hurt and was never the same. I was at Big Country's last game ever, a preseason game vs the Miami Heat. During that 1st yr in Memphis, the Grizzlies negotiated his contract and bought him out and he retired.

      @@elwin38 that shareef trade killed me. Never been a hawks fan and wasnt looking forward to cheering for them, but with the grizz leaving van it just wouldnt be the same. Then the injuries hit shareef and he started his tour of the nba before he called it a career. I basically had to start all over as a fan after that. That sucks to hear about dickerson. I remember he just kind of disappeared after the move. He made the whole Francis situation easy to take. Big butterfingers country and the stro show were just two guys i counted as mulligans

      I lived in Vancouver my whole life and saw the birth of the Grizzlies and the drafting of this guy. There’s a reason this highlight video is only 3 minutes long lol. In reality he was “a good player on a bad team” and totally over rated. He was a mediocre jump shooter and only one move, the spin move, while in the post. If a player gets 20 shots a game, he’s going to pad his stats every night. I’ve seen him play in person dozens of times and he’s really a mediocre player if he played on any other team that had more talent.

    • @GangstaViolin
      @GangstaViolin 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@deelo2281 IF he was that bad, why did he play one All-Star? Why he was selected for the USA national team in the Olympics, a team for which winning the gold was IMPERATIVE? (And they did)
      Maybe he was not Kobe, but he played twelve seasons in the best league of the world, so have some respect.

    • @deelo2281
      @deelo2281 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      GangstaViolin I do respect him but he still stunk as a player. In all those years how many times did he make the playoffs? How many times did he carry his team on his back deep into the playoffs? Never? Like I said, over rated, a good player on a bad team, and a player who didn’t necessarily make his team better.

      He was blessed with the opportunity to be on one of the worst franchises EVER, the Vancouver Grizzlies, poorly managed, the Kings are much better organization today than the Grizzlies ever were, Vancouver doesn't deserve a basketball team ever again after that fuck up of a organization and I'm Canadian.
