I grew up hunting with dogs primarily on timber companies' properties in north central Louisiana. Unfortunately hunting with dogs is only a memory here anymore. When the timber companies realised they could be making money off of leasing their lands everything changed . the dogs couldn't read the signs and know when they crossed from one club to the next and that caused problems since not all clubs continued using dogs. Soon the timber companies began to stipulate no dog hunting in the lease contracts and hunting with dogs has now all but disappeared in Louisiana. So watching your videos brings back a lot of good memories of the people we hunted with, the dogs we used and the fun we had. Thanks for all you do to keep the tradition alive!
Dog hunting will eventually be outlawed everywhere. We have had the same problem in Florida. Most private land has stopped dog hunting and they are slowly taking public dog hunt areas away pushing more and more dog hunters into a smaller area causing conflicts between groups.
Man alive those dogs singing at the top of their lungs thats just beautiful and ya got meat to go with the singing! Nice job ya'll Merry Christmas to everybody!
Good stuff I grew up in Mississippi we ran dogs in the Pascagoula River swamp but that was over 30 years ago if yall ever need a standard Hite up I'd fly out to hunt with yall I would even care a gopro for your channel lol
Hunting deer with dogs is a southern thing because there are places in the south like the swamps that a human literally can't get into. Also, there is more rural land, so they aren't hunting a 50-acre spot with 25 deer on it. They are huting thousands of acres where the deer are spread out. Using dogs to hunt animals is quite old in orgins. There was a time in history that it was the only way it was done. Most breeds of dogs have some urge to hunt, and these hunters are just allowing them to do what they were born to do. I'm a born and raised still hunter myself, and I would never degrade a man who hunts with dogs. They put hundreds of hours into training and taking care of their dogs. They spend thousands on food, living space, tracking and training equipment on the dogs. They are devoted outdoorsman just like more hunters
@@charliesnyder7936great response, I will never understand why people want to degrade another mans way of life without knowing anything about it. I was born and raised dog hunting in the south but I also enjoy other ways of hunting. Anytime someone says dog hunting is cheating or dog hunters are lazy I challenge them to spend a season with us doing what we do. I have hunted deer just about every way possible and dog hunting in my opinion is the most challenging and exhausting way to deer hunt in my opinion. I will never look down on any man that enjoys the great outdoors legally.
@@usmc_-_llbar6177how is it cheating? You're literally letting the deer know that one of 2 things are about to happen... there's about to be some hot lead coming their way or if they trip, a bunch of dog teeth, But hiding in a tree over 50 pounds of corn and basically shooting him while is not looking and has absolutely no idea he's about to die... yeah, seems fair to me! Dog hunting levels the playing field, the buck actually has an advantage, he h

Never shoot overtop the hounds
Poor dog work. Porkchop doesn’t belong in a video. I have a few bear dogs that I only keep because I am tender hearted but don’t put them on a video
Love y’all’s hunts. But you killing me with all the hands in front of the GoPros. Can’t you edit that out?
It's the way we mark the spot in the video to make sure we see it when editing. Thanks for watching Merry Christmas
Never could understand why you would have to have dogs to hunt deer.
Cause there lazy southerners and don’t want to put the work in 😂
Exactly. It feels like cheating to me. Im a spot n stalk or i still hunt type of hunter.
