    Feeling so systematically betrayed by the medical profession is such a crushing experience. Losing trust and a sense of safety with medical professionals is another layer of trauma that is hard to overcome.

    It’s about time there was a huge movement for detransitioners rights. Because currently your rights are being ignored.

    Thank you. How do we get much more visibility? This really needs to be on more mainstream media.

    This free speech talk is so welcome and necessary! Thank you all so much for sharing your journeys, your confusion, your anger and indeed as Stella worded this, the dark night of the soul. I feel outraged about the medical negligence you've all experienced whilst being prescribed synthetic hormones. Messing around with this needs very careful monitoring, particularly in young teen girls/adolescents who's reproductive systems are still developing. And you're absolute right Sinead and all of you, well said, get angry with this quackery, which is the appropriate word to describe this 'gender affirmative' MIStreatment! Criminal neglect 100%! Playing with lifelong consequences. I will not stop swearing about this. I've come through a long lesbian feminist life where in the last century we've set up our own independent Women's Health Centres to take control of our health and get away from the power relationship male doctors liked to play out over women. We studied our own reproductive systems, we dealt with menstrual problems, sexuality, we went on healthier diets, we exercised, formed sporting teams. But mainly we rejected western medicine that has a long history of abusing women. And they don't know half about our hormonal systems. Take power, take control. It worked for us in the past, it will work for you into the future. And self help groups are powerful, like this panel discussion. Thank you so much for all your words & sharing experiences. Margo xx

    11:57 The therapist was actively transitioning a 4-year-old girl?! Is that therapist still practicing? She should be in prison by now, imo.

    Fun fact. Planned Parenthood does not have an on staff endocrinologist. This type of care is being administered by a nurse practitioner who is has expertise in issues with the general population. Things like STI’s, pregnancy or Pap smears. It’s out of scope and out of control.

    So important their experience and stories are heard and recorded for history. Hoping anyone considering medical transitioning hears this.

    Thanks for the dialogue and the vid. folks. Super important to have access to measured, clear information, which in turn can lead to respectful and informed conversations - which in turn can hopefully lead to happier, fulfilled individuals. So sad to hear from the individuals who were let down by their therapists... Let's hope that will change in future. All the best, everybody, from Bristol, UK

    You are some of the bravest ladies I have come across. Not only have you taken this harrowing journey through transition and out of the other side, you have articulated so brilliantly the issues and failings along the way. The light speed approach has to end. Simply giving time and support during the first 5 years would probably have saved you from the emotional and physical pain that has resulted from the failures of the medical profession. You are incredible no matter what gender you are. Keep doing what you are doing to change the current approach which will devastate so many in the future. It’s time people stopped trying to silence your voices. Especially since your words are so vital to so many.

    This was such an amazing discussion. I absolutely loved all the passion here.. when Sinead had her monologue that (I’m sorry the butch lesbian bc I can’t remember her name-applauded Sinead) just incredible. This is what we should all be focusing on.

    The words “trust” and “doctors” should never under any circumstances be used together in the same sentence.

    Really not surprising that gender therapist are so much to blame considering the homophobic message of trans ideology. I’m so glad these women have finally found self acceptance (with no thanks to the ideologues the “butchers and liars”.

    • @Gingerblaze
      @Gingerblaze ปีที่แล้ว

      The ideology of trans is also deeply sexist and based in a rejection of self while claiming the exact opposite. Is it any wonder such a wide variety of mental illnesses, trauma and confusion both preceed and follow building an identity around it?

    The medical/psychosurgical response as a "treatment" for dysphoria related to our biological sex neglects to address the underlying causes (sexual abuse, societal exclusion, internalized or environmental homophobia, limited view of sex roles exposure to influencers, other mental health problems etc) of the dysphoria. In this model the dysphoria itself is treated as primary and not as a possible predictable result of these other forces.
    Helenas statement at the end regarding how the current model concretizes gender dysphoria is a very astute, observation. It should be obvious that this is what is happening, yet it is not. The fact that this has been so purposely obscured from view and actively denied by those institutions who are asserting otherwise is what is so deeply concerning.

    This video touches me so much. I feel like I’m just an outside to this whole SOGI ideology yet I see how it’s sending it’s roots in the minds of our children in school with simple things like a SOGI bakesale for grade 6 kids this week at school. I feel like, if I were to meet a trans, and they would want me to affirm them (as society is teaching us to do now), I’d want to have a secret code to let them know I’ll listen to them if they have doubt and regret. Otherwise they will think everyone keeps on affirming them and who’s going to listen to their doubts? Can we have a #detranssafespace window stickers for businesses? A blue and pink flag? I feel very stuck.

    New detransitioner channel on YT, Jalisa Vine is the name. Very moving. Every detransitioner deserves help, respect, love.

    Thank you so much for telling your stories. I have a friend from a long time ago,who recently called me, and is now a transgender woman. That was the first time I learned that counselors and medical institutions almost unanimously recommended transition for gender dysphoria! Is there some way to reach out with encouragement, either locally or online to detransitioners?

    I detransitioned because God revealed himself in my life and I felt the conviction from the Holy Spirit. JESUS SAVES ✝️.

    Sorry but the whole gender dysphoria as a problem seems ridiculously superficial in the light of there being babies & kids starving in some parts of the world & they just want some food to keep their bodies alive to avoid death. Maybe a trip to help in a 3rd world country to get a spiritual perspective would be $ better spent & probably even cheaper.

    • @comfymoder
      @comfymoder ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How is it superficial? Gender dysphoria can kill you just as much as starvation can. If it were that simple then therapists wouldn't have jobs.

    • @kathywidowski9662
      @kathywidowski9662 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The confusion and intense pain of those with true gender dysphoria is real. The fact that gender identity ideology has created even more confusion for younger kids is unconscionable.
