I think it’s more of that Mark was like 15 or 16 when he followed Jesus and when asked “Hey, write down all the stuff that happened when we were with Jesus” Mark did exactly that. Luke and Matthew filled in some of the gaps and mentioned the components that were theologically important and pertinent, rather than fixating on things that Mark would have remembered as standing out such as “Yeah, John the Baptist’s clothes were made of camel hair, and he at bugs and honey” and “Remember when Jesus got arrested, and there was that naked guy?” Most of Mark’s account of the events read in the same way a teenager would have posted about the events in a blog or on TikTok.
@@TheBingusBongus Well, since Mark did not write the gospel I am not sure why you think that or have to make up a story he is 15 or 16 and written 40 years AFTER Jesus' death. The gospels are anonymous and also NOT written by eye-witnesses as we are not even told who wrote them. Also, no evidence at all whether he was the naked guy. Sort of like the made-up deaths of the apostles/disciples. I totally disagree Mark is written like a teenager. And remember it is NOT Mark's account. Not good to presuppose these things. You misunderstand what is written then. Later Matthew and Luke COPY from the gMark and embellish the stories as this jesus character grows gJohn is another issue but gMarks jesus is shown to be totally human and confused. That's why it is so good and well written Also, fundies believe in an infallible/inerrant bible so those people are in a bind then but thanks for your response.

His mother was Jewish and married to a man from Cyrene "Libya" who was somehow a rich politician who ended residing in Israel with Mirriam Mary John Mark's mother and built a big house there. Mary named him in their popular Jewish name Yohan "John" and also Markus by his father then he had 2 names John Mark❤
Paul writes that Mark had instructions for the Church. Also Mark seemed to be a very important person when Peter was imprisoned by Herod Agripa. Mark was about 20 years old here in 41 AD. He might have written his gospel in or about 41 AD when he was still in his 20s. Mark was rich, educated and with many resources, he could have done this feat easily. In 64 AD Peter calls him "son" meaning by this year Mark was at least 15 years younger than Peter.
Great question! Here’s a brief and quick look at the meaning behind the interaction between Jesus and the young man: www.catholicmessenger.net/2015/10/a-lesson-from-the-rich-young-man/
Those acreditted with writing the gospels are not the ones that actually did, all the gospels found ( no originals) were UN signed, not written first hand, and not one of the writers claim in them that they knew jesus.

Mark was John Mark The son of Jesus and Mary Magdalene Acts 12:12 gives you a hint. He also wrote the secret Gospel of Mark. Jesus spoke Galilean Aramaic and the original manuscript of The Gospel of John , was penned by John the Presbyter for Mary Magdalene the True Witness Jesus Bride , also called the Beloved Disciple, The Dove, Mary of the plaited hair...you have to get past Mans Bible to get to the Truth.
With all due respect. How do you get the son of Jesus and Mary Magdalene out of “he went to the house Mary the mother of John who is also called Mark where many were gathered”? Am I missing something?
@@bryanmercille3049 well there is lectionaries ABCD and the original manuscript of the Gospel of John , penned in Galilean Aramaic, however, if you haven't spent countless hours studying those manuscripts, just looking at the kjv which you wrote ....Mary = Mary Magdalene and John Mark = Mark , then you would have to have someone who has researched the matter extensively put together the rest.....😃

Mark is the shortest because he wrote it first and Matt and Luke added/embellished to make it more powerful to the reader.

Great breakdown of Mark.Other channels use it as an excuse to shove their theology down the listeners throat.Just the facts ma'am said Joe Friday.
St Mark, pray for us.
You can pray to Jesus directly. He died for us so that we can have a personal relationship with him. 😊

Do you think that Mark was the boy who lost his coat in Gethsemane? [Mark 14:51-52].
There's speculation about who that person is. It could be Mark or it could be John Mark. Thanks for watch!
