I mean you could say there's a difference between heavy metal and just metal. Knives is a really brutal track but it doesn't have the thrashy riffs, the harmonies and solos and all that stuff.

Really is shitty because Bullet was one of my most favorite bands for years. I still love them. Moose's skills were bar none and especially inspiring that he was self-taught. I still live for his drumming in the Bullet songs. I was okay with Jay being gone but for it to be down to just Matt and Padge as original members, it is bittersweet. Also, I admire Matt a ton but that is so shitty that he didn't want to do heavy metal because I always viewed the band in metal and I personally think it would have given Bullet the extra push they have been needing for years. I mean us veteran fans have practically begged for it to be heavier again. Either way, I hope they ended on good terms and hope the best for both bands.

Hey hey relax. First of all Bullet is gonna make a really heavy record for us (especially for those who love the heavy metal/thrashy vibe they had). Secondly, come on... it's bound to happen that you can't do something over and over again. Matt really wanted to do this album his way because it was really personal for him, I don't need to explain why. And yes, Gravity is a really good record. I do agree we don't get to see Padge's creativity, sick leads but yeah I do love the record hella more than the previous ones. Moose made his decision by discontinuing with the band doesn't make them any weaker. Jason bowld has got some really good drumming skills too.

Well I do agree Matt is kinda dominating, but even Padge cntributes to a lot of creative things. During Gravity, Matt said "I'm sick of making heavy metal with the traditional bullet formula" and Padge said it himself that he's known Matt for so long, so he definitely trusts his actions. It was nothing forced, and yes after that 3 4 years of break Bullet did come back heavier. So I think this is where Moose was impatient, but whatever good for him that he's doing well with KTL.

Ultimately, I don't mind Jay leaving/getting kicked out because I think Jamie is better (bass playing-wise, cant tell the difference imo, vocals Jamie is miles better) though obvs I like Jay too but replacing Moose in 2016/17 was a bad call, and Gravity just emphasised Moose's point, Jason is lucky their follow up was fucking brilliant because he really showed that he is right for the band.
I'll forever feel weird watching vids of The Poison in full live in Brixton 2016, because of all shows Moose should've been at in 2016, those should've been compulsory. If I were Matt, I wouldve called up Moose saying "mate, we're playing The Poison in full for these shows, are you free yet?"

I've been listening to BFMV since The Poison (2005 I think) but really thought the band was getting a bit stale and boring around Venom (2015) except a few good tracks. The latest album brought back the reason I listened to them in the first place so that one is pretty good. But if this is how they treat their members then I would consider that a dick move. My respect for the band have declined heavily now. Anyway, Kill The Lights are killing it! So good for Moose that he found another band to play in.

Moose is really hard to interview. I mean, maybe it's not an easy thing to talk about bullet stuff but if so, then don't agree to an interview. It feelt really cringy that Johnny had to literally speak for both of them. Nevertheless shitty situatins that Tuck took control over the band. I really liked that guy but the more I read about him the more I'm losing intrest and even respect to that man. Feeling like he wants all the glory but when it's bad then it's the band issue. Today I was reading an interview with Bullets after Download Festival and was pleasantly surprised that they focused on every member not only on Matt. What I really liked about this interveiw was that Padge could share his feeling about upcoming album and Gravity as well. Like real feelings not shyli saying album is good and Gravity was also good becasue Matt's sitting next to him and judging. Recomment to read that interview

    • @ItsBigJC

Jason bowld is one of the best technical drummers in the world dude - he’s probably been used on far more records than you realise too. He’s a much better drummer than moose believe it or not. I love moose but apparently both him and jay were both causing massive problems for the band ( drug / drink issues ) they had time away at a time that hindered the band and it resulted in the band wanting to move on . Everyone shat on the last album but I thought it was a clever move - it did get a wider audience listening and to be fair if you do one thing continuously it becomes boring and trying new things creatively is a good thing. In a recent interview on a podcast padge said they already have 20 songs which are all the heaviest songs they have wrote and Matt has already said that he wanted to create a muse of all they have already done. I think they are a cool band amd that it shows they aren’t one trick ponies. It’s sad that they aren’t the original line up but fuck man look how good Jamie is compared to jay. The dude is a mega vocalist ( better than Matt ) his bass tone is mega too. Iv seen them live back in the day and of more recent and I can tell you 100 percent they sound better live now than back then

@@Chaka596 there has been several interviews with padge and Matt and padge did drinks with Johnny Christ and one podcast with the dude from bad wolves . You have to sort of piece the bits together to get the picture - you’ll see what I mean if you listen though. He said jay is now doing well and is helping people with addictions etc . They indicate lots of stuff happened behind the scenes. It sounded like for the benefit of going forward they had to cut them out. Not surprising as their rise to fame hit hard and fast and the lifestyle of not kept in check could easily get out of hand

    • @castielangelofthelord1992
      @castielangelofthelord1992 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

@@ItsBigJC A lot of shit you said. Some true/fair points but dude, Jason Bowld is an average drummer. For technical drummers, I would be looking at Mike Portnoy (Ex Dream Theater), Mike Mangini (Dream Theater), Alex Bent (Trivium), Blake Richardon (BTBAM), Dave McGraw (Cattle Decapitation) just to name a few.
Also, I used to love BFMV but Matt is arrogant. In an interview, he said he records all the guitar parts on all albums except for Padge's solos because he thinks it is "tigher," having one hand do it.
Well, that is arrogant, and Padge is a FAR better player than Matt so if he wanted to go down that road he should have let Padge record everything.
The reason Moose left was because Matt wanted to write garbage pop songs and Moose did not want to do that. Watch Moose's new band Kill the Lights it is far better than BFMV.
I do love Jamie and must admit he is 100x better than Jay.
And Padge is severely underutilized. Look at gravity, he got 0 Solos. Like seriously.
Matt Tuck CAN NOT sing. He cannot hold or sustain notes, he is out of key and his voice has gotten worse and worse since he screams incorrectly. Watch the Poison live at Brixton 2006 and specifically the song the Posion and the chorus where he sings "holding onto you to keep from falling." Back then, Matt actually could sing and if you listen, he perfectly hits the high note. But if you watch 2016 for example, Matt cannot hit that note and struggles to hold basic notes.
To make BFMV great again, Matt needs to step down as lead and give that to Jamie as Jamie can sing and scream better. Then, they should utilize Padge a lot more and maybe look at Trivium and write more complex riffs and utilize a more majority of screaming vocals.
