      @@SamsungCarper your politeness always wins? Now stick the bloody kettle on and wear some gloves because I wanna feel the burn. It's a good tool but very badly advertised in my opinion.
      Well done you though.

    It seems like it just helps you prevent burning your line, if you use a lighter that is or braid.

    • @SamsungCarper
      @SamsungCarper  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can get away with using my lighter on a coated braid without having a tool. But then you cant use mono or fluorocarbon as the heat in the tube melts it.
      Its a decent bread punch tho 🤣

    Horses for courses i’ve used one and it works fast and fine. You’ve made it look bad faffing about and using it wrong heating the wrong side… the tubing your shrinking is closer to the metal tube away from the hook point….I could make a video and make it look …….i suggest you watch a nash clip and see how to use properly 😂

    • @SamsungCarper
      @SamsungCarper  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive used it since and got it to shrink faster, however once youve shrunk your tubin how are you straightening your hooklink without having to get the kettle out? Unless you dont straighten them...?

    • @59trader43
      @59trader43 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SamsungCarper I would move the curly bit at the end so it is in the center of the tube and reheat the length of the tube ,that should straighten out the end curly part as it did the rest.also a mini torch would be easier than a lighter ,it doesn't really matter if its 10 or 20 seconds, its fire and heat so use with caution and adjust to your needs.

    What a load of crap... Why do high end manufacturers bring out shit like this. I hope people dont just buy this crap because it has Nash written on it.

      Never a truer word spoken 🤣 it is awful. The money they wasted on developing this then to get it to market. Hope someone got a smacked bum.

      @@SamsungCarper its not that hard to thread it for example, just tie a loop or twist the leader between your fingers a little. Also id moisten it with saliva and fan out the heating a little more an those Problems dont occur anymore. If you dont want to bring a kettle this is the best alternative

    • @SamsungCarper
      @SamsungCarper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theblobfish9614 i do mention you have to tie off the rig in order to thread it everytime, but still, you shouldnt have to. Also it should slip straight through a tube, not get caught up.
      The instructions state 10 seconds of heat where the shrink tube is, tested, failed. Takes around 20 seconds. Then you come to the issue of straightening your rigs after shrinking them. If you tie off your rig firstly then attempt to straighten your hooklink material you'll always be left with the last few inches (tied off end) curled. However the only way to combat this are two methods
      1. Cut an extra 4 inches of hooklink, straighten then cut and tie off.
      2. Use a long latch needle on tied off end and send the needle down the tube to help straighten the rig
      But then after trying the two steps above i noticed i didnt have a third hand to hold the rig taught in the tube because the hook was not long over the tube edge. Trying to hold the rig, need tube and lighter seemed a bigger faff than just flicking the kettle on at home when having a 'rig session'. As for the few that don't own a kettle i reccomend boiling water in a sauce pan and using the heat from that to shrink any tubing and straighten rigs, this can be done both at home and on the bank.
      I loved the idea of it hence why i brought it, but it turns out its just a gimmic and im not ashamed to say i've been had.

    Why have they tried to solve a problem that doesn’t even exist, like who’s idea was this?

    • @SamsungCarper
      @SamsungCarper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it was a small battery powered heat gun with a rechargeable battery where you could tie 4 or 5 rigs up before it went flat, stretching the hook link out and then heating/straightening/shrinking all at once then id have been quite excited as I dont always have a kettle on me for day sessions etc. This is exactly what I thought the tool DID...then I read the instructions and found id just brought a copper pipe....fuckin screwin!
