That fire reflector is not only incredibly functional but aesthetically beautiful. I have a similar one in a much smaller form factor for my two single burner Colemans and it's a blessing when the wind is blowing. Do you have a source for one of yours? OMG! I can smell those ribs cooking over the campfire. I have to try the mashed potatoes. I think as soon as this video is done I'm heading out to my Hobo Camp and do some cooking! I constructed a testing site in the wooded area of my backyard and test all of my gear before taking it out into the field. Wow, that's a small piece of Heaven where you guys are camped. Sigh! Your video content is so amazing I can almost write a book (LOL) on each of them. We experienced a power outage in Richmond, Virginia, for 34 hours and my overland camping equipment came in handy as the house temps averaged 40F...Mr. Buddy Heater kept our master bedroom a comfortable 60F and I cooked our meals in the room (a first!); and had lights with a Jackery 240. I messaged a friend in Houston and his power is back on. Thank you for sharing your call with the kids...you must be so proud. Give Lando an extra pat from me and I think he's the coolest dog on You Tube.
Ribs looked so good and what an amazing spot to camp - we just loved it! Enjoyed the update from the kids...what a wonderful learning experience for them to working with the best.
I've always been into just off roading, but the more I watch your videos the more I'm becoming a fan of overlanding. I'm becomming a big fan of EFRT. I hope there will be many more years of EFRT to come.
Very nice to see that everything is fine there and you guys find always spectacular beautiful landscape there. We have had a snowstorm here in Lapland for four days and seems to continue. a wooden cup where there was tea, is of Sámi origin and in Lapland it is called Kuksa😊🇫🇮
Thanks for the prayers for Texas, for three days, we felt like we were winter camping in our own home. With 4-5 inches of snow, below 0 temps, no power just a gas fireplace to keep us from freezing. Be safe and we enjoy the empty-nester episodes!!!
That was very cool to see what Pete, Dan and Caroline have been doing and what they have been learning!!! Glad to see you guys are staying warm and more importantly Safe and Healthy!!! Thank you guys for another amazing video....
Oh those ribs looked sooo good . And what a nice camp spot , would love to spend a few days there with my sea kayak exploring around that lake . Loved that shot of the drone coming off the lake toward your camping spot . Great video . And sounds like the kids are learning a lot and enjoying there time there . Cheers and thanks for another awesome adventure video . From Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A.
Thank you from Texas! Don’t get me wrong it was cold and no power and water sucked, but Texans are strong and united and help out their neighbors like no other state in the union! We are already bouncing back! Really enjoy watching your adventure and as a parent I can see how proud you are of the kids and what their futures hold. God Bless!
What a awesome video. Thanks for sharing the enjoyment that you are able to have together. Also you have a beautiful family. Keep up the fun! Wichita, Ks.
Hello, I just finished watching S6-ep21 I was looking for the 22nd and I saw that it was the last we are on the 21-02, because it's been 3 months that I have been craving all the episodes since the 1st season , it's fantastic I got to know you from the start seeing the children grow up to become men and women, I was very touched when Peter learned that he was diabetic because I am also less, I look at you From France I do not speak English very well but I manage to follow your dialogues anyway, but above all there are the images which are fantastic and your lifestyle in the great outdoors is wonderful, I am looking forward to it of the next episodes greetings Christophe
Thank you for all your adventure inspiration it gives me fuel to keep building on my rig and to get it to the point to finally be out there .. Thank you for letting us tag along
So awesome what you guys are doing and very inspiring! My wife and I are looking forward to our own epic overland journey very soon! Cant wait to see more content!
I know as parents it is so hard to see your kids leave the nest but you've got to be so proud of them that they are pursuing their dreams and goals. Wife and I will be empty nesters here soon so hopefully we'll cross paths soon. God Bless!
We enjoyed this video as well as the others. My wife is becoming addicted to them! The ribs looked outstanding! That was an interesting tea cup. Thanks for the update on the kid!!
So funny to see you make a dent in de mashed potatoes "stamp" and fill it with gravy. I thought we only did that over here in The Netherlands. But given your family name I guess your family is of Dutch descent? Anyway, keep up the great videos and safe travels.
Hah! You didn’t need to set your chairs up. Just grab the one you backed past getting into your spot. Such a lovely place. Too bad some feel the need to treat it like a garbage dump. Food looks fantastic. You need to capture your video in surround smell-o-vision. Lando sounds like he would like to try too.
I love how you did the ribs you must of watch my video crockpot The ribs 😂 and then throw them on the fire perfect way to do it and I loved how you were jumping up trying to get the ladder and I guess the old man needs the kids back to cut up some firewood 😆 poor lands ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out PS loved the video also it was really cool seeing the kids and what they’ve been up to I guess I got to step up my game on my videos 😝
Hello. Great video as always. Had a couple questions. What tire size would you recommend for the types of over landing you do, 35 or 37. Did you ever consider a Gladiator over the Wrangler, and what was the reasoning. Thanks and we look forward to next week. Be safe and have fun.
Hello again from Argentina !!! What are you doing beautiful tour, as I am not fluent in the language I did not understand why they are alone on this trip, and the boys ??? , although from time to time it is VERY GOOD, I send you a big hug from a distance and continue with what you do which is apacionate !!!! Mariano
Hi, los muchachos se fueron a un programa que se llama “X Overland”(creo que asi she llama), creo que es de tv y tambien tiene en you tube, solo es por un tiempo
We visited my families friends in a trailer home. They had a machine set up on the coffee table for rolling cigarettes. We came out smelling like campfire.
I'd like to see you guys use your own made fire starters. Egg cartons, chain saw wood chips and candle wax. If you ever get back to Ontario I'll give you a milk carton full.
Ok- we need to cook ribs tonight! Thank you for sharing your awesome crew with us, we can’t wait to show you their episodes next month!
Can't wait!
Man! Technology needs to add smell. I could practically smell the potatoes cooking! Those ribs looked awesome! Great lakeside campsite as well.
Thanks!
Great video. Love the update and looking forward to seeing you all together again.

You should have named the dog Forrest, for all the wooded trails he leads you through, plus when you start out you can just say "Run, Forrest, run!"
