I can't believe that I finally found you! When I was just a young teenage cowboy my cousins came to visit from SOCAL. They brought with them this magical cassette tape. They raved about it. I finally popped it into my Sony Walkman. The top of my head soon blew clear off, my mind was blown. I remember my cousins were laughing and pointing but I obviously couldn't hear them. I closed my eyes and lay back on my bed, I was on a wonderful drug free trip. I copied the tape and after my cousins went home I listened to the tape every night. It brought my thoughts together and helped me focus on many things that I believe helped to lead to my success. Thank you so very much for this work. Thank you for sharing it here as well...
Equinoxe is probably the best album in the history of electronic music, along with Oxygene. It's obviously very popular, but it's still hugely underrated. Thank you, Jean-Michel, for creating a masterpiece!❤️🎼🎵🎶🎹

Jarre is one of my major influences when creating cinematic music to "tell a story" - whether it be purey electronic/synthesizer sounds, or orchestral and vocal, or even a mix between them (which I do through a Korg PA5X, Mainstage3 with various patches/plugins, and an RC505 loopstation - no DAW involved in any of my live work, and only a LITTLE in my pre-recorded work - MOST of the released works I've done were "live-recorded" using just the Korg, Mainstage and the loopstation also). Equinoxe and Oxygène are complete masterpieces!!!

Have these tunes been updated since the original album? I'm certain the one playing at the 34-ish minute mark has different instrumentation. Ivremember it sounding more like an accordion and perhaps a little slower. This version sounds more like a trumpet. Either that or the original being on vinyl makes it sound different.
