(Eleanor Pereira, Pooja Menon) Excuse me Mr. Clifton. Please refer to your lines in the 1st Verse, "Karkia la takkar deva sathi, sangti gheti ye tu Gregory la". Have you heard Gregory's Solo "Asli Heera" where Gregory himself has endorsed, "Ami kavri bhi Pura gelu Tari tuje Magari haav". This exhibits Gregory's humbleness. Till today, there is no Composer & Singer (including stage personality), in the EI Community who is equal to Thomas Pereira. Mr. Clifton your line is faulty. Probably because of your ignorance. After Thomas Pereira, Gregory is the Numero Uno. Of course, Gilbert's & Jacinto's composing have high standards.
Further, please be informed that Thomas Pereira did not pass away due to drinking. The reason was something else.

With all due respect to Uncle Thomas.. I respect him a lot and have only heard good stories and his greatness in this competition from my father in laws( Gregory and Gilbert) also I had no intentions to hurt any ones feelings.. It was just a comedy song and didn't mean to put him down in this song.. Also, I have already mention in my song that 20 varsa zaili toh marte bakshis paila and in my last line I have said... Thakkar deva sathi that didn't meant he is not gonna win going forward. I have heard Thomas uncles song and nowhere any one is close to him.Also, maybe you have not understood why I have used certain lines or even the concept of my song. So just to give you a gist, it doesn't mean that every singer who has passed away was due to drinking, it just meant that whoever wants a chance to sing in the chandavar competition should pass away drinking (this is what was in the 1st song 20 years ago) and also by using my father in law's name I dint mean that one will win or lose but definitely someone to give a little tough fight because I believe he (my FIL) is the second best after Uncle Thomas as he still says coz there has been at least one competition where Mr. Gregory had bagged the first prize, that does not lessen any respect for the other singers. But yet, I apologise if you took it in a different meaning, please feel free to call me if you need any further clarification am happy to talk to you. Thanks🙏

Your explanation is fine. Even if its a comedy theme, take care not to hurt anyone's sentiments. Be careful with the wordings you use. My Bro and Sis were also to pen down their feelings. However, I have asked them to refrain from doing so.

Some big Singers (am not naming anyone) sing songs using some lines and exact tunes of my Dad's songs. We are helpless because lot of other Singers seem to know and have his songs (I don't know the source) Moreover, they are not registered. That's the reason we are unable to take any action against them. We, his children, are not in the Singing or Competition field (cause he died young, we were all young. Our priority was education and career). We get to know when some well wishers bring to our notice.

When we request them to give us our Dad's songs to produce audio-visual, they pretend not to be in possession of any song of my Dad, or they have forgotten the wordings and tune. Can't perceive their intentions 😀
