As a Funk Mix fan, this is amazing. Love that Luigi and Tails didn't want to or realize they were fighting. Also, Tails' line "When I'm with him I'm in the best state I've ever been" is a nice Triple Trouble reference.

i love how the cover brings up Mario Teaches Typing and Sonic's Schoolhouse. this brings up the fact that these two have more in common than what we think. they both have games their devs or the community wouldnt wanna talk about (other games like this would be Forces for sonic, at least for the community and Hotel Mario). smaller details like Luigi and Tails praising Mario and Sonic as someone to look up to is also a pretty wholesome touch!

You know, this made me realize that despite how much Mario is praised compared to Sonic, he’s had his fair share of blunders as well. There’s the infamous Hotel Mario, Mario is Missing and Mario’s Time Machine, all of which not even Nintendo wants to mention. There was Super Mario Land and the latter two New Super Mario Bros. games. Several sports games like Ultra Smash, Tennis Aces, and Mario Golf Super Rush, and don’t get me started on the MarioParty games. That’s a rollercoaster of quality. Honestly, Mario’s bad games aren’t exactly buggy, but they are very poorly designed.
Hotel Mario isn't exactly good but it was a big part of the YTP comunnity so... ig Mario is Missing and Mario's time machine aren't mentioned as much, Super Mario Land is actually quite nice and famous (didn't they add that one flower on SMM as well?), idk what Ultra smash, Tennis aces, and etc. are, but the Mario Party games are still quite famous and remembered, despite its flaws
@@dylanzlol7293 Hotel Mario may be a meme, but back when it came out, it was viewed as horrendous. Mario is Missing and Mario's Time Machine aren't brought up for a very good reason. Ultra Smash was a bare bones tennis game with a Mario skin. Tennis Aces and Super Rush were released half complete with the other half coming via free updates. Same applies to Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Strikers Battle League. MarioParty had a good run for a while but was bashed pretty hard come the seventh installment and only came back when Superstars hit the scene. Oh and I forgot to mention Paper Mario Sticker Star.

@@dylanzlol7293 People love the older Mario Strikers games. Mario Strikers Battle League is the latest installment, and while it’s well-liked, it’s still getting free updates that finish it when the base game is still a little lackluster.
@@tonysonic456 Aren't updates made to improve on something? Just because the game gets an update it doesn't mean it's a blunder, Mario Strikers is liked, and the games are good-enough to be liked by a lot of people, it's a success

This was a great cover! I loved the back and forth between mario and Sonic, really felt like two old rivals poking at each other. And Luigi and Tail becoming friends was really fun too, really fit them better than fighting. All the pixel art in the video was also really good ! Loved all of it.

I love the fact that Luigi and tails were quite literally didnt have anything against each other at all
Gonna be real, while I do love this there are a few things that kinda bring it down just a bit
I mean some of Mario's lyrics don't even rhyme and just sound out of place, examples being 0:29 and 2:07
The voices needing to sound 8-bit to fit the song leads to some parts sounding less like a song and more like just garbage noise with an 8bit instrumental hard making it hard to sit through sometimes (also adding on with how the lyrics sound sort of out of place but I already said my peace on that)
An example would be the entire tails and Luigi duet starting at 1:16
Again not saying I hate it I'm just pointing out some things that kinda threw me off
When people usually make me choose between these two I can't. They are both good. Mario has great platforming and puzzles. So does Sonic but Sonic is more fast paced. Mario is a bit slower paced. But in the end they both are great gaming mascots, great rivals, and all around great sources of entertainment. that's the reason why I can't choose. They are both great, so when I have to choose between them I always say both.
Easy, say you like both, with how sega is trying to portray it in the olympic games, mario and sonic have a great friendship and its sad that so called fans can't act like what sega is trying to show how their friendship would be
