Recently was working on a project. And well I felt like this was a necessary tutorial.
I cover using the tracer object, spline point distribution types and using spline IK tag to control more complex splines.

Aleksey Voznesenski is a Cinema 4D rigging artist specializing in character related work. Creating, c4d character rigs, animating etc.. He also loves messing with xpresso and even a bit of simulations in x-particles.

Thanks for posting this-simple but brilliant technique! It has been massively helpful. Beyond the ability to control splines it also allows for much easier clamping using PSR and having additional splines follow the same nulls (e.g. a bundle of wires in a cable). Thanks for posting!

А возможно как то на сплайн теперь накинуть дополнительные детали, чтобы они двигались вместе со сплайном? Я сделал своего червяка по этому уроку, закинул на точки теги вибрации и все вроде ок, но как мне теперь на этот сплайн закрепить наушники и глаза? Или мне лучше готовую модель анимировать но другим способом?
Пиши на английском если что, я разберусь.
You can either put those items into one of the nulls. Or you can use the spline wrap deformer (i have a tutorial about that) just put everything in one null.

if i were to animate like multiple cubes (body of dragon), along the line to animate like Dragon flying in the sky (like in curve "~") would this method work?
best way to find out is try it :)) i would watch my spline spine ik tutorial that might help with a dragon type thing

What do you do if you don't have tracer?
use the other methods? or maybe perhaps check the plugin "ubertracer" i haven't used it, but perhaps it could help you?
