I'm so happy that I found your TH-cam -channel! It's really cool and interesting to see what you do with the guitars, and really entertaining (and oddly relaxing😊) to listen to you talking. Would love to see more of your beautiful cat as well😊🐱
Welcome aboard! Thank you.... it is great to get a little bit of encouragement and Georgie Girl rules the place.... my whole house is built around her....
Hi, any repair experience with, or advice on; with a Fender skunk stripe where the stripe is slightly sunk and slightly raised in sections of the neck?
Sounds ominous.... unless it was a Friday night Fender job. I have never seen that before, it does sound like it is a repair job, either at the factory or after it was sold... the skunk strip is usually sanded down and levelled prior to painting. any picturess?? austen @ austenlennon .co.uk
Yes indeed but it's odd and almost looks like parts from different models. The neck even looks like roasted maple from the video at least. I haven't seen sonic blue on American Performers either so it's a very interesting guitar to understand exactly what it is. I have also seen a Fender ultra model with that exact body colour but it should have a contoured heel so I am puzzled. @@LennonLuthierFinagler
Me too... I still haven't quite found out what it really is... the owner swears he read, when he bought it, that is was called by a different colour by Fender...
I'm a walkin in the rain 🎸... - the classic that is Runaway by Del Shannon Austen😉
It is, and it brings back memories of better music days... :-)
Heard that live last year in the grand opera house belfast 50s and 60s dance hall days show with George Jones. Fantastic and highly recommended show!
It's a great tune... wish I could sing!

Corona is a town at junction of the 15 and 91 Freeways about 55 moles southeast of Los Angeles - where the Fender factory is located 😂😊

@@LennonLuthierFinagler i'll grab some pics and upload them. Tx
That seems to be a American Professional and not a Performer by the looks of that neck and 2 point trem system. They both great guitars though.
I would almost agree with you... but I just could not find a 'professional' that did not have metallic pint... this one is plain paint.
