Even though this song has been out for a while now, you are the first reactor that I have seen that commented on Jisoo going head first down the slide. One of my fave bits of the video, and so in line with her personality.
While this is not one of my favourite songs of theirs, I also don't think it deserves all of the hate. People just weren't ready for such a switch-up from HYLT, I think. The M/V is so much fun, and so were the supplemental videos they released (tho they also got hate). And Selena was incredibly supportive of Blackpink all through the promotion of the song.

Girl do you know how many times I have heard this song and seen the MV and did realize jisoo was singing in English. I say that because she's the only one that doesn't speak English fluently. This is the song that sent me down the BP rabbit hole after I had started listening to BTS.

This song is a bop and people just didnt like it as much because it was a new sound for BP. It didnt sound like their usual songs since western artists and producers took majority part in producing and writing it. But honestly, it isnt half as bad as people make it. Its just different hence the criticism.
Which is funny because I always see some people complaining that their songs are now "too same-y". They don't like that and when BP tries a different sound, it's now all "Doesn't feel like BP"...So they don't like that too 😂

It's due to Covid that there were no scenes filmed together. Selena has Lupas and can't risk catching it.. They had a whole video planned to be filmed together but couldn't do it.. 💔 Blackpink did say that after Covid, they'd like to perform it alongside Selena. They do have a dance practice video of like Blankpinks Avatars in the meantime. 😊
