This and the Cat Steven's cover of 'Trouble' being released for download happened on the "anniversary" of the week my parents died 6 days apart 7 years ago. That's a music hug, and I'll take it. There's a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in.
My aunt died yesterday. Was bummed out and crying. Went on Spotify looking for FJM to fit my mood and saw he put out new material. Found the cover of "Trouble". Just seemed like one of those moments that was supposed to happen. Take care and be safe out there.
If you haven't heard it before you should check out the Elliott Smith version of Trouble, it might just be my favourite th-cam.com/video/gU6NU4bGA2U/w-d-xo.html
My grandma died around the time I should've gone to prom. Of course I wasn't going anyways cause I had no date. There's always a silver lining in death.
@tyvek05 No one should believe in Jesus Even the truest of dogmatic belief will be claimed by ego The saving cannot be not done by Jesus himself, can it? For he is a metaphor- all prophets become idols despite literal laws against the practice. Paul's testament has become the object in and of itself. Ask yourself- what is modernity but infinite idolatry? And what is Christianity's role in this? Not as a personal, abstract set of values, but as a practical aspect of the existent super-framework. The saving might only done by a humanity which recognizes the strictures of fear and domination within itself and works to be humble, open, gracious, and grateful nonetheless. To preach beyond presence itself is the block over which we have perhaps stumbled.
What an amazing song to what is happening right now with me.. Father J.M. thankyou.. I nedded you just like like when i needed honeybear and real love.. Great song!!!! "Lov'n' it out loud"
He sings the poetry of Leonard Cohen with so much care ...and respect...and appreciation..and subtlety ..

This song is pure gold. I was so shoked when this popped up in my recomendations in Spotify!
All 4 songs on this record are amazing. "Trouble" is one of my new favorites.
This cover is just beautiful, it's a little joy in a very weird period. Thank you Father plague vaccine
I think it should be noted that this song was written by the great Leonard Cohen, legendary post and artist. But this cover, oh wow, so beautiful.
No need to note. We all know.
We need a whole LC cover album from FJM…👌🏻
Well aren’t you in luck, Anthem+3 is kinda sorta almost that.

A call to feel our pain
Who needs therapy when you can spin in circles and listen to this with your eyes closed

Just heard this on a TV show but don't remember where. Opened me to the Father.
My kids saw him in Camden, NJ. About 3 songs, he saw the Battleship NJ, ranted something about war and walked off the stage.
Better than the original. Well Done.
I hear Leonard Cohen here...
This is like driving through a tunnel all the while as it tempts you to blow your 🎷
Love this cover and his cover of the flaming lips- do you realize. Love his music..if FJM wasn't so pretentious.. I'd love him.
♥️
On my 3rd day vacation after being stabbed I heard this album while thinking of a poem. I love this man. He reminds me of Lenard Cohen
This is a Leonard Cohen song.
♥️♥️!!!!!
I needed this like i needed honey bear and real love 3 years ago..... Willams??
@ 2:46 did anyone else notice somebody in the studio say "ah fuck *unintelligible*" lmao I keep trying to find out what he said after that
I think he might say "ah fuck, i got another one"
I was listening to this at night and it scared the shit out of me
I heard something in the distance but audible.
Can’t believe they let it go on the recording.
this is liek something you’d see in Mr.robot
2:48 - What prayers are being said out loud in the background?
C'est la musique de la saison 2 de la série GUILT , épisode 2
Such perfect soundtracks on each season of Guilt
2:48 "Ahhh, Fu** I gotta" Great song though!

Anyone else getting serious Wallflowers/Jakob Dylan vibes from this cover?
I keep thinking I’m listening to Lou Reed
Guilt brought me here.

I like all types of music. But this TH-cam playlist is trash
Did you just disrespect our lord and savior Father John Misty?
