Thing is, she could have taken the French approach and said that strategic ambiguity was important and that she intentionally wouldn't answer that question as a geopolitical move. For any halfway competent politician, they could have weaseled their way out of saying yes or no, but she fumbled in a way that make bilateralist anti-nuclear voters uneasy about her not just saying no, and trident supporters sure that she means she wouldn't.
I don't think I could have messed up this badly politically if i tried.

The funny thing is she has been an MP for nearly 40 years , I believed her net worth is 4-6 million pounds and when she became an MP in 1987 her London constituency was one of the poorest and after all this time it still one of the poorest , a very low expectation electorate…….

They know not shame nor have morals. It is a strength of democracy that these two people were allowed TV time together. It is the weakness of democracy that either of them has power or influence. Lest anyone think that this comment has a party political aim, I would feel equally disgusted if it were Boris Johnson or one of many others.
