fantastic tool just ordered a second stand n plant transplant I am 6'3" tall and decided I would like to have a unit that was a little longer, called the manufacturer they added 6 inches to the original tool. We just set out 2016 plants amazing tool a back saver.
A close up of the planted seedling would be good does the device pack soil securely around it ? Or do you wait for watering rainfall to wash soil into the holes ? Nice vid thanks.
I purchased one of these tools this spring, 2015. We just used the first time transplanting broccoli, which plants are not nearly as large as the peppers in this video, the trans-planter works flawlessly!!!! I will likely purchase another for next planting season. If you are considering the purchase, consider no longer. Buy it!!! Best 100 bucks you'll ever spend.
If you view the "Hatfield Transplanter video" the interesting invention there is the home made tray with guitar strap for holding the transplants while hand transplanting. Personally I use the Rain-Flo water wheel transplanter. For direct seeding through plastic I use a polyplanter made by Ferris industries.
better if it weighs a little. less hard to put it into the soil. very nice tool, reaaly. there are always the great simple ideas that change the way to work. this is one of them. I'd like very much to try it, very much; but I feel it will be hard to find it near me.

thanks . A 2x2 plug is 2.83" diagonally but it should slide down because its tapered . However for early tomatoes 2.5 x 2.5 is plug is recommended which would have a diagonal of 3 1/2 " . I looks like the plugs he is dropping are root bound and would grow stunted . But this might be useful if you plant your 2x2 plugs before they get root bound
Warren Down what the fuck are you talking about? it seems he is using his head and not bending over to plant every plant saving himself from a sore back.
Have been using this for 12 years, and I transplant about 20000 plants per year. Couldnt live without it.

+buddruffin I am 6'4 was the 6" enough to make it a more 'upright' job ?
+Farmer Chris yes! it gave me the extra inches that I needed.
That's what she said! Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Looks like you also get a decent workout in on the one arm 😝❤️❤️❤️ love it, can’t wait to order mine.
This is great - just bought one - can't wait to try it out!
Do you hand mark the landscape plastic ahead of time? My spatial accuracy isn't as good as I would like. Thank you for posting this ♥️
I just ordered one. I can't wait to try it out this year in the market garden!

what brand did you go with? website?
+Emily Hughes I purchased the Stand N Plant as shown in this video. Love it!
That is a pretty good tool.
do you have to put in soil after the plant goes in or is it done by the tool?
Usually enough dirt falls in around the roots to complete planting. At most you may have to kick some dirt around plant with your toe.

Me gusta, simple ,efectivo,es lento pero lo disfrutas, ideal para pequeñas plantaciones, limpio sin contaminantes ,me gusta.
this is a nifty tool you have there... how long until you get tired?
What''s the diameter of planter? I'm going to cultivate lavender and I'm wonder if it's possilble planting of two years old lavender seedlings?
Hi! Great Video! What is the black nylon cover called? Thanks
I didn't take the time to read all the comments. My question is. When you plant it is the root system completely covered after you pull it out.
i thought they started making a longer version but cant find it on website. not the seeder the transplanter
Thanks for the kind words. We'll look into making a longer version.

It weighs 6 1/2 lbs. It's a little heavy but it has a heavy duty job to do and is built to last. Thank you for your interest.
What in sam hill?!!!! That thing is awesome!!!!!!!!!!
Do you have your drip tape run down the middle of the plastic mulch?
That sucker looks like it's very heavy, and I have bursitis in my right shoulder. how much does it weigh???

These have been around since the 30s even had one where you could add water weight about 6 lbs.
I love mine just wish there was a longer version, if it was about 10 inches longer it would be a lot more comfortable to use
here's a thought. cut the unit in half, add a section of pipe and the same fo the trigger rod.
Good time-saving product! It amazes me how stupid some comments can be.
growerssolutions new to the internet and public forums huh?
Are those 2x2 plugs ? What is the diameter of that tube?
+rbbiefah Tube is 2 3/4 inches

+rbbiefah Can't really tell but those look more like peppers than tomatoes to me. How you can tell if they're root bound is beyond me.

Warren Down what the fuck are you talking about? it seems he is using his head and not bending over to plant every plant saving himself from a sore back.
you are too ignorant to comprehend what is going on in the video
Stupids planter I've ever seen and so bloody slow
+matrix 911 Unless you have enough acres to justify machine planting, the tool shown here would save many hours and backaches.
