    I live in Alaska! I think the 7000 was modeled after this for gold. Except its a lot of $$$$$. I would like to concentrate mostly on GOLD nugs, silver, and native findings! What I like most is the LCD on this! I want it, but I'm uncertain of its ability to find high-end minerals? Not looking for tin cans or bullets. What say you? I haven't researched many other brands? I REALLY like this one, except for that one uncertainty. Must get wet is a have too. People's videos only show coin mode every time? Is silver mode for GOLD too? I do like it better than the 800!🤠

    I just got a right rollicking cos of you! wife watching tennis, you started testing 1/2 crown dog went beresk, so did she. Keep it up your getting there patience and comparison testing is the way. You need a mate with you to bury 3 gold silver coins and a bronze one, mark them and see if you can ID them

    hi just seen ur vids on the gpx 5000 and is really is a simple machine to understand...... the tones work on two principles
    iron or low conductor---high tone then low
    good target - - low then high!!
    so theoretically u need to listen for the second tone rather than the initial one
    hope this helps👍

    Did you have auto ground balance on ctx turned on or off?

    • @WestCountryClegg
      @WestCountryClegg  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @NechaevDmitry
      @NechaevDmitry 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah no need for gr. bal. on such soil and can to max out your sensitivity when off. Does it let you setting sens to the max (30) on that field?

    have you considered if there is a difference in tones if you wave them parallel or perpendicular? i admit its more learning than i want but i look forward to your future finds!

    The 1694 William and Mary coin was a good find! The lead could be window glass lead or pot mends. That probably means there should be other good things in there too. Just keep hunting and digging. It will pay off and you will hit it. Take care and H.H.

    Jees you need the ears of a bat to distinguish those signals. Don't fancy digging up tons of deep iron. Good luck cleggy you'll need it.

    In Time cleggy you will be able to estimate the depth of certain targets and even the size ;)

    Hi Cleggy. If you are digging for deep finds you need to dig larger square sided plugs (cylinders) as your conical plugs will take the spade tip onto the find at depth. Also the GPX is vague on pinpointing which increases the chance of spading the find. I think the GPX is great at mopping up scattered hoards, you will need lots of patience to use it for regular searches.
