I rode those when I was very young when I was staying there! Great to see these are still around. I remember these well. I'llneed to film these next time I go to San Antonio.
This has got to be a computamatic. Definitely has some relay logic. I got in a machine room in one in ky. Has a pie selector much like an auto Tronic however Dover’s is horizontal instead of vertical. When I visit sa in the spring I am definitely gonna check these out. Maybe I’ll be able to get into the machine room as this is a unique system if it is what I think it is.
Installed in 1987.
DieselDucy Dover’s Traflomatic I and Traflomatic II were also relay-logic.
Dover Traflomatic III and Traflomatic IV are microprocessor controlled.
anthony020501 That’s just what it says on Elevatorpedia. There’s not true evidence of that that I know of. I can’t seem to find any other evidence of that, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t true though.
Nice video of the main elevators and parking garage elevators this is my favourite hotel all over in the country which these are nice elevators runs very good
Hey jim! This is my first time seeing you in a Dover high-rise elevator. These things travel at 700ft/min.
I should check this out, I live 30 mins from SA, I didnt know this was on the RW
Awesome!
This one reminds me no longer existed high rise Dover in Singapore too lol.
My favorite kind of elevator is Otis series 1 I love those
Awesome video!
For once, I like theses impulses!
Indeed, I actually like the Custom Impulse better, since the flat profile makes them thinner looking, and are less prone to breakage.
Interesting door open button
The main elevators go 500fpm, are they Geared or Gearless?
Door Open brail is an Arrow brail?
0:55 let's go left...
what is computermatic on a elevator
They look they are slow at leveling. 😰
These were modded San Antonio is loosing a lot of beauties.
Clicky Impulse didn't exist until 1989.
Obviously, they replaced the buttons in the 90s I believe.
These are from 1987 to be exact :)
How do you know?
Emporis says 1987.
I live in San Antonio
They shouldn't have put the fire service button on a separate call station by it self!:(
