I swear that writing on the wall is figuratively displayed with a glass casing in the spooky month community, honestly without that ship, the community wouldn’t be the same. Candybatz MOLDED the fandom to a surprising extent; the community in general and the newer ships. It basically told everyone that theres no limit to shipping whoever you want (MINUS PROSHIPS OF COURSE!!) and that sparked a whole bunch of other rarepairs (some as jokes, others not) such as Atticrelics (The spider x mannequin) (BUT OFF TOPIC DUDE PLEASE DO A VIDEO DEEP DIVING POISONWINE PLS HFKJBVJFYRB)
I can't help but find it hilarious that you go "it's obvious why it got connected to this ship" about a portuguese song without showcasing any translated lyrics. (not even suggesting that the viewer look it up by themselves) I'm not on TikTok and I don't keep up with trends so I don't know jack about that song lol
I think candybats it a cute ship the only thing is I really don’t like it and nor do I like Streber and it’s mainly bc of his fan base and the people I’ve met and I’ll even go out of my way to say “I’m Streber’s #1 hater” just because I genuinely despise just because of his fans and the thing is not all of them are that bad it just so happened to be a lot of them that I’ve talked to before
I used to be a candybats shipper and a Streber fan but honestly I feel like some his fans kinda fans kinda ruined that since a hand full of them I’ve seen in the comments of mainly TikToks will still use the defense “it’s canon!” When it had been debunked to obviously not be canon
But this is a wonderful video and I hope to soon make a video (probably my first ever one) on this topic!! It’s a very interesting topic in my opinion really just showcasing the good and bad in fandoms
