The hard part about this quest was that Safi has a damage cap in the first phase. So as soon as you deal a certain amount of damage where Safi would leave but accidentally trigger another KO or stagger, you lose a lot of time. So key was to get the transition to Phase 2 as fast as possible then go for a KO quickly and finish with high damage LBG mines. Well, honestly the hardest part was that we started unlocking this quest at 2am in the morning. Right now it's 8:45 am and I haven't slept yet... Anyway. We wanted to upload something for you guys directly at release. So we hope you enjoyed that run. ~ Chris
I mean its not like the strats change for them lmao just dumpster stickies into the face. Not exactly difficult, though TDS does still push the boundaries of what a skill ceiling is for an easy playstyle but you get my point
@Ricky i never said strats never change but sticky strats and mostly the same across every monster. even this one with differences due to dmg cap between phases can just be the same strat as other mons with dmg caps such as shara or kulve. and ofc its not the fastest but it sure is one of the easiest and thats probably why they started with stickies

The real thing will probably involve at least 2-3 more phases as it descends deeper to look for more energy and the difficulty will obviously ramp up each time. I thought for a moment, a new Dragons Dogma is coming! But this is fine too. I really like the design, its such a classic and good look for a Dragon, simple and good. This kinda looks like if Dark Souls and Dragons Dogma had a Child and dropped it into Monster Hunter World. :P

DarkEater Midir and as weapon: Moonlight Greatsword and a Bloodborne Crossover with all of the Beast Bosses ;) and Rakujo as DB, whirlgig saw as ChargeBlade, Ludwigs as Greatsword, KirkHammer for hammer :) and saw Cleaver + woodshield for SnS. Reiterpalash/Gunspear as Gunlance.

@I I agree. Of course, now with the patent Dark Eater Midir of the Monster Hunter universe, we cant just put Midir in the Game, so i would prefer the Black Dragon Kalameet or Sinh. And maybe a last little DLC for DS3 where you can Challenge Black Fatalis. That WOULD be awesome. ^^

Fitting that you would use a Lao Shan Lung theme. When I first saw its red scales I thought it was Lao but then I saw it had wings. In the initial scene where you see the shedded Xeno shell, Safi flew by fast but it had a dark silhouette, so when the characters started talking about a "red dragon" I thought they were talking about something other than Safi.
@@quantizedanson I always use a hammer vs Lao bois, it is either too effective that he stays stuck in the third area so time runs out or too ineffective that a repel occurs instead or fail outright.
@@whitejester Conceptually, Rath and Diablos are both Wyverns, we the players know this. Show them to anyone else and they'll say Rathalos is "dragon" and Diablos is and angry cow with wings. Hence the repeated dragon in my post

The Fatalis have been around longer and they are pretty westernish looking dragons.
It's a damn shame actually. Xenojiiva had a really interesting, ethereal design. Safijiiva has none of what made Xeno's aesthetic actually interesting
