I was going to ask you where the other songs were but I just read they were part of several deluxe versions: broken pieces, over and out, lost in reality, the story of another us, the space between a rock and a hard place.

"The thing is on this album SGFG, we realise we have a voice. Some people think that this is just something that 5sos has come up with. This band, we wanna write real songs for real people, real issues that everyone has. Everyone has got their problems, their demons, and we wanna be there for you because we have shit going on as well. We have our ups and downs. We write music from our hearts for you, doesn't matter it has wild hits, that's for sure. We don't give a damn as long as it means something to you. I just want this band to mean something to you and not some pointless shit on the radio."

i remember hearing a theory that invisible is based off a suicide note. written by ashton and the reason cal is singing so much is that he helped him through that hard time so ash wanted him in front
yea and then Broken Home was written by Mikey who was going thru a lot of trouble at home at the time, but when it eventually got better he said he didn’t feel right performing it or keeping the song but since Ash has always had a broken home he told him “if ur gonna sing it for anyone sing it for me” i saw this on a article somewhere can’t remember which one tho

SGFG it's a fans favorite, it's the baby we always protect and im fucking grateful for that, one of the best fandoms ever
Most of us who lived the new broken scene era were in our teens, I was 15 when SGFG came out and it literally saved my life, like many others. Ashton said that they wanted to make real songs for real people and that they did, even 6 years later, I can perfectly remember what it was like to live the concert on this album, feel that I was not alone ... I can describe it as a balm for the soul.
I was a teen in the late 90s and we had bands like Sum 41, Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Hoobastank, etc. 5SOS is like these bands reborn and part of my teen years was revived when I discovered 5SOS. There is just so much amazing artistry, emotion, energy in their music, it soothes my soul.

This ablum is non-stop nostalgia! Came out the year i started highschool and was my intro into my love for this band. Still my favourite album of all time and has only gotten better and more relatable as i've gotten older but still makes me feel like im 14 again :))
Os/co is their BEST song they have ever made! It helped through my worst and it will always hold so close to my heart. It's also extremely beautiful live

Broken home really hits home for me. My life mainly consisted of watching my parents argue and belittle each other. I was the mediader of it all and sometimes I was thrown into the mix. My dad was emotionally abusive and I believe he was the reason my mother took her own life in 2017. Once my mother was gone, I was left basically all alone to my father's torment. It was then that he started grabbing me and throwing me across rooms and even hitting me.... When I hear the line(s) "just ghost in the halls, feeling empty, they're vacant now," I bawl almost every time because I can't help but see my mother in that. My father passed away in 2018 and hearing that song kind of brings all the memories back. It's one of their songs I most relate to.

Some say that Invisible was inspired from the suicide note that Ashton wrote when he was in the darkest time of his life...Everytime i hear invisible I cry sm thinking about the same
Carry On might be one of the best closing songs on any album ever. I swear, I mean it. It’s so uplifting! Let the good times roll!

I remember how much of an impact this album had on our fandom. This is our little baby. It’s a fan favorite. (My fave album of all time is youngblood by them) but the nostalgia and feels on this one are unbelievable. I just can’t listen to this album very often because like you saw yourself.. it’s very emotional. I BALLED my eyes out at the concert back then when they toured this album. And it’s overall just an album that sat with us very long, because youngblood came three years after, so I think we all just formed a strong bond to this album, also because I think we all were at a different kind of point in our lives when youngblood finally came around. I remember being 15 when sounds good feels good dropped and then being 18 years old when youngblood dropped, having had my first heartbreak. Overall what I want to say is that they have a way of pulling you in like no other. I haven’t felt this much love or admiration for anyone who makes music the way I have for them. I genuinely think that they don’t have a Single bad bone in their Body. And I think i speak for all of us when I say you‘re never gonna get out of this rabbithole that‘s called 5sos hahah. Having blabbed on ab all of this, I’m looking forward to the youngblood reaction. And I hope you recover well from this rollercoaster of an album 💓

Seeing this reaction, I’m confident Luke’s solo album will emotionally kill you…I wish you good luck when you get to his album! It’s a masterpiece.
So I’m like 38 and I ADORE this band. It brings me back to my teens when I hear it. Pop Punk was my love. It’s so emotionally relatable to those young years in my life and I could and have listened to this album on repeat for years now. As they’ve grown over the years they just get better and better. I absolutely love that they have a lot of live music available too. It’s rare that a band is better live, because they often lack the energy and polish live, not the case with 5SOS. SGFS is a perfect title for this album. Youngblood is excellent too, it’s more developed music, moved a bit more into an almost 80s sound, but I love it just as much as SGFG.
This album is actually my fave 5sos' album and San Francisco was my fave track just because I love Ashton's vocals. Love your reaction, btw!

You really need to listen to Ashton Irwin's solo album SUPERBLOM along with Luke Hemming's solo album When Facing The Things We Turn Away From. Of course, listen to them after listening to all the 5SOS albums. You're gonna absolutely lose your mind.
I love watching people realize that all 4 sing, not just Luke. This band is really just overflowing with talent and that's part of what makes them so special 🖤

This album came out when I was entering into PHP (partial hospitalization program) for mental health treatment when I was in high school, and when I tell you this whole album saved me… omg man. I loved them before this one but SGFG came at a time I really needed it. It’ll always have a special place in my heart💚
SGFG is, for a long time, my fave album i used to cry to this album for a concerning amount of time. I would literally be jumping around in one song then cry on the next one it was a rollercoaster of emotion.

Sounds Good Feels Good has had a very special place in my heart the last 9 months, and likely will forever. Back around Christmas, my own mental health collapsed given lockdown circumstances... To the point of contemplating ending myself. The dark, but self honest and real lyrical universe, has helped me in rebuilding, and just offer a sense of relatability and comfort. Owe these four adorkable dudes, and especially my biggest emo idol Mikey, for writing these redeeming emo anthems... 🦋

As someone who was younger when SGFG came out going back and listening to it once I became a teenage really helped me and continues to… so many songs are either relatable or tackle subjects that aren’t usually talked about with younger kids it’s truly the best album I’ve ever listened to and continues to have a special place in my heart

this album will forever have a special place in my heart. i remember this era and when this album came out i remember how emotional it was. the whole fandom just, the way it hit us and then the SLFL tour and everything after before they came out with youngblood. but yeah, this album means the world to me. like literally released it during a time in my life when i needed it the most. and like, don't even worry about being emotional because that was literally me when i first heard it. just, tears everywhere. like you said, the entire end half of the album is just like a drop off into your emotions and those are actually all my favorite songs off the album. i love the whole album, but those songs really put me in my feelings and i love it.

I loved watching this, please don't worry about the sad reactions. I cried with you the entire time, even though I already went through that went it came out lmao. This came out during the last year I was in middle school, and I think a lot of people can agree that is a kind of hard time in a kid's life. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Sounds Live Feels Live, and I really just can't describe how I felt that night. This is my absolute favorite album. As a side note, I absolutely agree that Michael's voice is so comforting. I really have a soft spot for Michael, too.

My favorite part of Invisible is in the end of it where violin starts to play and i remember when i first heard it, i burst to cry, it just really says that it's heavy that time. It became the song i listen when i want to release negative thoughts and it really super duper helps..

It was a hard time for me and this album was a savior, even if at that moment I didn’t fully understand how I felt and how sad and depressed I actually was.
